The Communauté de communes Isigny-Omaha Intercom is a ''communauté de communes'', an intercommunal structure, in the Calvados department, in the Normandy region, northwestern France. Le Molay-Littry
Le Molay-Littry () is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. History On 23 January 1969 Le Molay (the old INSEE code was 14434) merged with the old commune of Littry to form ''Le Molay-Littry'', which uses the old Littry INSEE code 14370. Le Molay-Littry has good travel links with neighbouring towns such as Isigny, Bayeux, Saint-Lô, and Balleroy, which served it well in the early 17th century. At that time, the town was a local source of coal which made the town a wealthy one. The town still has a mining museum which is open to the public. Chateau du Molay The Chateau du Molay was built on the northwest side of town about two and a half centuries ago in 45 acres of wooded grounds. Deux-Jumeaux () is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. History World War II After the liberation of the area by Allied Forces in early June 1944, engineers of the Ninth Air Force IX Engineering Command began construction of a combat Advanced Landing Ground to the northeast of the town. Declared operational on 30 June, the airfield was designated as " A-4", it was used by the 48th Fighter Group which flew P-47 Thunderbolts until the end of August when the unit moved into Central France. Cricqueville-en-Bessin (, literally ''Cricqueville in Bessin'') is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. The municipality takes its name from its deep-water creek that forms a natural harbor, from Crycavilla. History World War II Just outside Cricqueville, the United States Army Air Forces established an airfield shortly after D-Day on 9 June 1944, just three days after the Allied landings in France. The airfield was one of the first established in the liberated area of Normandy. Known as Advanced Landing Ground "A-2" ( Cricqueville), it was used from early June though September 1944. After the Americans moved east into Central France, the airfield was dismantled and the land returned to agricultural use.
