Châteaufort, Yvelines
Châteaufort () is a commune in the Yvelines department in ÃŽle-de-France in north-central France. It is located south of Versailles, and southwest of Paris. Châteaufort inhabitants are named ''Castelfortain''. The commune is named after the existence of three fortified castles during the Middle Ages; indeed, ''château fort'' means "fortified castle" in French. On August 19, 1913, ahead of the Châteaufort aerodrome, the French aviator Adolphe Pégoud became the first man to jump from a plane using a parachute. The jump was made from a Blériot plane 200 m above the ground. In the 20th century, Farman Aviation Works was headquartered in Châteaufort. An agglomeration community (french: communauté d'agglomération) is a government structure in France, created by the Chevènement Law of 1999. It is one of four forms of intercommunality, less integrated than a métropole or a communauté urbaine but more integrated than a communauté de communes. Agglomeration communities consist of a commune of at least 15,000 inhabitants (or a prefecture with less than 15,000 inhabitants) and its independent suburbs. As of March 2020, there are 222 agglomeration communities in France (207 in metropolitan France and 15 in the overseas departments).BANATIC

Vélizy-Villacoublay () is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France in north-central France. It is located in the south-western suburbs of Paris from the center and east of Versailles. Its inhabitants are called Véliziens.
