Come Saturday Morning (The Sandpipers Album)
''Come Saturday Morning'' was an LP album featuring The Sandpipers, released by A&M Records in August 1970. The album reached #96 on the Billboard charts. The title track was also issued as a single and reached #17 on the Billboard charts. This was a different recording from the version released on the soundtrack album of the film ''The Sterile Cuckoo.'' The recording of "The Wonder of You" was the same recording as was included in the album of the same name. The August 8, 1970 issue of Billboard Magazine reviewed the album: :''The title tune put the smooth trio way up the singles chart, and is now spotlighted in this exceptional program which also features their new single, "Santo Domingo." The Sandpipers
The Sandpipers were an American easy listening trio who carved a niche in 1960s folk rock with their vocals and innovative arrangements of international ballads and pop standards. They are best remembered for their cover version of "Guantanamera", which became a transatlantic top 10 hit in 1966, and their top 20 hit " Come Saturday Morning" from the soundtrack of the film ''The Sterile Cuckoo'' in 1970. ''The Wonder of You'' was an LP album featuring The Sandpipers, released by A&M Records in May 1969 with catalog number SP 4180. The album was released by A&M in the United Kingdom with the title ''Kumbaya'' and catalog number AMLS 935. Other international releases included Australia (World Record Club R02377, different cover), Canada (A&M SP-4180), Germany (A&M 212 066), and Mexico (A&M AML/S-1024, titled ''La Maravilloso De Ti''). Robin Gibb
Robin Hugh Gibb (22 December 1949 – 20 May 2012) was a British singer and songwriter. He gained worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees pop group with elder brother Barry and fraternal twin brother Maurice. Robin Gibb also had his own successful solo career. Roger Stewart Nichols (born September 17, 1940) is an American composer and songwriter. He is a multi-instrumentalist who plays violin, guitar, bass, and piano. Career Nichols co-wrote many songs with lyricists Paul Williams, Tony Asher, and Bill Lane. Asher and Nichols co-wrote several songs on Nichols' debut album ''Roger Nichols and the Small Circle of Friends'' (A&M Records, 1968) which was produced by Tommy LiPuma, engineered by Bruce Botnick, and featured session contributions from Van Dyke Parks, Randy Newman and Lenny Waronker. "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" is a traditional African-American spiritual, first published in 1927. It became an international pop hit in 1957–58 in a recording by English singer Laurie London, and has been recorded by many other singers and choirs.
