Colorcocha (Lima)
Colorcocha or Collorcocha (possibly from Quechua ''quyllur'' star, ''qucha'' lake, "star lake") is a lake in the Lima Region in Peru. It is located in the Cajatambo Province, Cajatambo District. Quyllurqucha lies in the Pumarinri valley south of the Huayhuash mountain range, between Pucaccacca in the north and Millpo in the south. The lakes named Huarmicocha (possibly in Quechua ''Warmiqucha'', "woman lake") and Challhuacocha (possibly in Quechua ''Challwaqucha'', "fish lake") lie west. Lima Region
The Department of Lima () is a department and region located in the central coast of Peru, the ''seat of the Regional Government'' is Huacho. Lima Province, which contains the city of Lima, the country's capital, is located west of the Department of Lima; this province is autonomous and not under the jurisdiction of the Regional Government. Cajatambo Province
The Cajatambo Province is one of nine provinces in the Lima Region of Peru. It is bordered to the north by the Ancash Region, to the east by the Huánuco Region, to the south by the Oyón Province, and to the west by the Huaura Province. Overview From 1851 to 1916 Cajatambo was part of Ancash Region and also included the areas of Bolognesi Province and Ocros Province, which remained in that region. Bolognesi, including Ocros until 1990, split from Cajatambo in 1903; in 1916 Cajatambo was given to Lima Region. Geography The Waywash mountain range traverses the province. Huayhuash Mountain Range
