The Colorado Curling Cup is an annual mixed doubles curling tournament on the ISS Mixed Doubles World Curling Tour. Cora Farrell
Cora Farrell (born May 23, 1999) is an American curler from Fairbanks, Alaska. She was a silver medalist at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. Career Farrell has competed in eight consecutive Junior National Championships. Her first was in 2013 at only 13 years old, playing third for Kaitlin Fowler. They finished the tournament with a 3–6 win–loss record, in a four-way tie for sixth place. Farrell's best results at Junior Nationals have been in 2017, 2019, and 2020, each time earning the silver medal. In 2016 Farrell represented the United States at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics, playing third on the mixed team skipped by Luc Violette. They earned the silver medal, losing to Canada's Mary Fay in the final. Steve Laycock
Stephen "Steve" Laycock (born October 29, 1982 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon. He currently skips his own team out of Saskatoon. Career In 2003, Laycock skipped Team Saskatchewan to a Canadian Junior Curling Championship and a World Junior Curling Championship. Until 2007 he tried repeatedly to skip a team to the provincial men's championship in 2004, 2005 and 2006, but was unsuccessful in all of his attempts. In 2006 he joined up with Pat Simmons as his lead, and finally won a provincial championship with him in 2007. He would win again in 2008 and once more in 2011, this time throwing third stones and calling the game for Simmons. Simmons left the team at the end of the 2010-11 season, leaving Laycock to find a replacement third. Laycock announced the addition of Joel Jordison to his team for the 2011-2012 season. Nancy Faye Martin (born February 17, 1973 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Career Martin has been playing on the World Curling Tour since the 2004-05 season. In the 2014-15 season, she joined the Jill Shumay rink at third. She has been skipping a rink since the 2015-16 season. Martin played in the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Olympic Trials with partner Catlin Schneider. They finished 5-3 and lost in a tiebreaker. She also competed in the 2019 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship with Tyrel Griffith, losing to Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant in the final. Cory Thiesse ( Christensen; born December 1, 1994) is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. She is currently the defending U.S. champion skip, and represented her country at the 2022 World Women's Curling Championship. Christensen was one of the top junior women's curlers in the United States, playing in six national junior championships and winning four of them. She was the alternate on Nina Roth's 2018 United States Olympic team. Victoria "Vicky" Persinger (born June 1, 1992) is an American curler from Fairbanks, Alaska. She is a three-time United States Women's National Champion. Career Persinger competed in eight United States Junior Championships, winning gold at her last appearance in 2013. As national champions, they represented the United States at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Östersund, Sweden, where they finished in seventh place with a 4–5 record. Jason Smith (born September 18, 1983) is an American curler from St. Paul, Minnesota. Career Smith was formerly the vice-skip of John Shuster's team. His other teammates were Jeff Isaacson and John Benton, with Chris Plys as the alternate. As a member of this team he won the 2009 United States Olympic Curling Trials, which doubled as the National Championship, earning the team the privilege to represent the United States at the 2009 World Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada and the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. A lance is a spear designed to be used by a mounted warrior or cavalry soldier (lancer). Aileen Miranda Geving ( Sormunen; born February 13, 1987) is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. She represented the United States on the women's curling team at the 2018 Winter Olympics and earned her first national championship in 2020. Career Geving began curling in 1996. She was a national junior champion in 2004 and 2007.
