Colonial Hockey Conference
The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) was an athletic conference that operated in the northeastern United States. It participated in the NCAA's Division III as an ice hockey-only conference and included only women's teams. The formation of the conference was originally announced in late 2014 under the ECAC umbrella, with the conference to be known as the ECAC North Atlantic. The eight founding institutions all had either independent or newly formed women's hockey teams, so no teams had to switch conferences to join the ECAC-NA. In 2015, however, just before the conference's first season commenced, the members announced that the conference would be renamed the Colonial Hockey Conference, dropping the ECAC affiliation. The United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) is a college athletic conference which operates in Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania in the eastern United States. It participates in NCAA Division III as a hockey-only conference. The conference was announced in 2016 as an association of 10 schools and league play began for the 2017–18 academic year, with nine each playing in the men's and women's divisions. The majority of the member schools were previously members of the now-defunct ECAC West hockey conference. Wilkes University was also announced as a future member for both the men's and women's divisions for the start of the 2018–19 academic year, the same time when charter men's member Nazareth College began varsity women's play in the UCHC. Stevenson University is a private university in Baltimore County, Maryland with two campuses, one in Stevenson and one in Owings Mills. Northeast Women's Hockey League
The Northeast Women's Hockey League is an NCAA Division III women's ice hockey conference. The conference was formed in 2017 when the ECAC West collapsed and the women's ice hockey programs of the five schools whose primary conference was the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) banded together to form the NEWHL. While SUNYAC supports men's ice hockey, only five of the ten member schools sponsor women's ice hockey. Members The NEWHL was formed by five schools in 2017 and was joined by two more beginning with the 2019–20 season. New England Hockey Conference (formerly the ECAC East) is a college athletic conference which operates in the northeastern United States. Daniel Webster College (DWC) was a private college in Nashua, New Hampshire. It operated from 1965 through 2017 and had a strong aeronautics focus during much of its history.
