Collibus
Collibus is a British five-piece progressive metal band from Manchester. Members include Gemma Fox (lead vocals), Stephen Platt (lead guitar/backing vocals/production), Daniel Mucs (rhythm guitar), RJ Kershaw (bass guitar), and Darren Pugh (drums). In November 2013, Collibus was the first rock band to play a live set in the UK House of Commons. Collibus won the Mike Weatherley MP discretionary award of the Parliamentary competition Rock the House. Weatherly became the band's manager. Bloodstock Open Air is a British heavy metal music, heavy metal rock festival, festival held annually at Catton Hall in Walton-on-Trent, Derbyshire, since 2005. Originally held indoors for one day with two stages, the festival started in 2001 at the Derby Assembly Rooms and has expanded over the years. It became an outdoor event in 2005. Mike Weatherley
Michael Richard Weatherley (2 July 1957 – 20 May 2021) was a British Conservative Party politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hove in East Sussex from 2010 to 2015. Early life Weatherley was born in Clevedon, Somerset, on 2 July 1957, the son of Derrick and Kirsten Weatherley. He was educated at Kent College, an independent school near Canterbury, Kent, and read business studies at London South Bank University. In 1988, he became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Sonisphere Festival
The Sonisphere Festival was a touring rock music festival which took place across Europe between the months of June and August. The festival was owned by John Jackson and Kilimanjaro Live. It was jointly promoted by K2 and Kilimanjaro Live. It hosted heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Slayer, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold and BABYMETAL (the latter group would make their UK debut at the 2014 event). The festival has not taken place in the UK since 2014. Stuart Galbraith, CEO of Kilimanjaro Live, revealed in 2018 that Sonisphere will not return to the UK, due to financial issues.
