Colina is a Chilean city and commune, capital of the Chacabuco Province, in the northern part of the Santiago Metropolitan Region, approximately 30 kilometers north of Santiago Centro. Demographics According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Colina spans an area of and has 77,815 inhabitants (41,004 men and 36,811 women). Alejandro Colina
Alejandro Colina (8 February 1901–1976) was a Venezuelan sculptor. Alejandro Colina, a Venezuelan sculptor, was born in Caracas on February 8, 1901. Colina is one of the greatest exponents of Venezuelan monumental sculpture and framed much of his work within the cultural heritage of indigenous communities, with their sculptures celebrating the myths, legends, gods and chieftains of the tribes in Venezuela. He died in 1976 at the age of 75 years. His most famous work is the 1951 statue depicting the goddess Maria Lionza. Alejandro Colina's parents were Alejandro Torcuato Colina, from Falcón State; and Fermina Viera, a Spanish lady originally from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Braulio Evaristo Carrillo Colina (March 20, 1800, Cartago, Costa Rica – May 15, 1845) was the Head of State of Costa Rica (the title as it was known before the reform of 1848) during two periods: the first between 1835 and 1837, and the de facto between 1838 and 1842.
