Cojutepeque Futbol Club was a El Salvador, Salvadoran professional football (soccer), football football club, club based in Cojutepeque, Cuscatlán. The team ceased operation in 2003. El Salvador (; , meaning " The Saviour"), officially the Republic of El Salvador ( es, República de El Salvador), is a country in Central America. Norberto Huezo
José Norberto Huezo Montoya (born 6 June 1956) is a retired football player from El Salvador who represented his country at the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain. Club career Huezo started his career at UES and played for ANTEL before joining Atlético Marte in 1976. He then played in Mexico, but returned to Marte only to try his luck abroad again when he moved to Spanish side Palencia. He also played for Cartagena FC but returned to Marte again in 1985. He left after a year for Costa Rican outfit Herediano with whom he won a league title and then for Guatemalan side Jalapa. He finished his career at FAS. Juan Quartarone Carbone (28 May 1935 – 23 November 2015) was an Argentine football midfielder. Nickname El Brujo (The Wizard) he played in Argentina and El Salvador. After retiring as a player, he coached a number of teams in El Salvador and the El Salvador national team. Juan Quartarone died on 23 November 2015. Conrado Miranda
José Conrado Miranda Sasso (14 October 1928 – 13 October 2021) was a Salvadoran football player and coach who created a legacy in El Salvador. He and longtime partner Juan Francisco Barraza helped evolve football in El Salvador. He was known as ''El Estilista''. Club career His first steps as a player are traced to the Pipiles F.C. His debut at the national level was playing for Independiente de San Vicente. Later he moved to CD Alacranes which was renamed C.D. Atlético Marte at his suggestion. In 1954 Conrado Miranda was contracted as a player by Uruguay de Coronado (Costa Rica) for a 1-year contract. Afterwards he returned to Atlético Marte for a three-year stint but this time as player/coach that produced three national championships (1955, 1956, 1957). Víctor René Mendieta Ocampo (born 16 June 1961 in Panama City is a retired Panamanian football forward. Club career Mendieta played for local sides Plaza Amador, Sporting'89 and Tauro. He also had spells abroad in El Salvador, Ecuador, Honduras and, most notably, in Mexico during the 1994-95 season. He announced his retirement in January 2000 after scoring 15 goals for Plaza Amador, but returned to play for Alianza and eventually retired in November 2001 after playing for Alianza against San Francisco, aged 40. José Alfredo Poyatos López (born 27 November 1964) is a retired football midfielder. Club career Poyatos played for local sides Chorrillo and Tauro and in El Salvador for Cojutepeque where he played alongside compatriots Rubén Guevara, René Mendieta and Percival Piggott. International career Poyatos made his debut for Panama in a May 1986 friendly match against the Dominican Republic and has earned over 20 caps. Pércival Antonio Piggott Cumming (born 23 November 1966 in Panama City, Panama) is a Panamanian former footballer who played professionally for clubs in Panama, El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica. Club career Piggott scored a goal but still was on the losing side in the 1989/89 Salvadoran league final with Cojutepeque, when they were beaten on penalties by Luis Ángel Firpo after the game ended 2-2 after extra time. He also played for Firpo twice, the second spell started in March 2001 when arriving from Panamanian club San Francisco. Miguel Ángel Díaz Arévalo (born 27 January 1957) is a retired football player from El Salvador. Club career Nicknamed ''La Ardilla'' (Squirrel), Díaz started his career at Third Division side Alacranes, later renamed as Chalatenango, with whom he won promotion to the Second Division and later to the Primera División de Fútbol de El Salvador.
