Codenames (board Game)
''Codenames'' is a 2015 party card game designed by Vlaada Chvátil and published by Czech Games Edition. Two teams compete by each having a "spymaster" give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. The other players on the team attempt to guess their team's words while avoiding the words of the other team. ''Codenames'' received positive reviews and won the 2016 Spiel des Jahres award for the best board game of the year. Rules ''Codenames'' is a game of guessing which codenames (i.e., words) in a set are related to a hint-word given by another player. The game is played with least four players, or any even number of players. Players are split into two teams: blue and red. One player in each team is selected as the team's spymaster; the rest become field operatives. Twenty-five codename cards, each bearing a word, are laid out in a 5×5 grid in random order. Kotaku
''Kotaku'' is a video game website and blog that was originally launched in 2004 as part of the Gawker Media network. Notable former contributors to the site include Luke Smith, Cecilia D'Anastasio, Tim Rogers, and Jason Schreier. History ''Kotaku'' was first launched in October 2004 with Matthew Gallant as its lead writer, with an intended target audience of young men. About a month later, Brian Crecente was brought in to try to save the failing site. Since then, the site has launched several country-specific sites for Australia, Japan, Brazil and the UK. Crecente was named one of the 20 most influential people in the video game industry over the past 20 years by GamePro in 2009 and one of gaming's Top 50 journalists by Edge in 2006. The Origins Awards are American awards for outstanding work in the game industry. They are presented by the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design at the Origins Game Fair on an annual basis for the previous year, so (for example) the 1979 awards were given at the 1980 Origins. The Origins Award is commonly referred to as a Calliope, as the statuette is in the likeness of the muse of the same name. Academy members frequently shorten this name to "Callie". ''The Simpsons'' is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company.
