Cocoon (club)
Cocoon was a techno nightclub in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It had space for 1,500 visitors and consisted of two restaurants, multiple lounge spaces, bars and small private and public ''cocoons'' made out of sofas which were placed inside the walls. It was closed on 30 November 2012. It was replaced by the club ''moon13'' on the same location but under a different management. History Cocoon was opened on 18 July 2004 inside a newly built concrete office building, named ''U.F.O.'' (''Unbekannter Frankfurter Osten'') constructed by ''Dietz Joppien Architekten'' in the industrial east of Frankfurt. It was the successor of the Omen club. The designer of the club interior was the company 3deluxe from Wiesbaden. It was an investment of several million Euros (10 million just for the design by the company 3deluxe). The sound system by Steve Dash cost 700.000 Euros. See also * Cocoon Recordings Cocoon Recordings is a record label founded in 2000 and operated by DJ and electronic mu ...

Techno
Techno is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) which is generally produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempo often varying between 120 and 150 beats per minute (bpm). The central rhythm is typically in common time (4/4) and often characterized by a repetitive four on the floor beat. Artists may use electronic instruments such as drum machines, sequencers, and synthesizers, as well as digital audio workstations. Drum machines from the 1980s such as Roland's TR-808 and TR-909 are highly prized, and software emulations of such retro instruments are popular. Much of the instrumentation in techno emphasizes the role of rhythm over other musical parameters. Techno tracks mainly progress over manipulation of timbral characteristics of synthesizer presets and, unlike forms of EDM that tend to be produced with synthesizer keyboards, techno does not always strictly adhere to the harmonic practice of Western music and such structures are often ignored in favor of timbr ...

Omen (club)
An omen (also called ''portent'') is a phenomenon that is believed to foretell the future, often signifying the advent of change. It was commonly believed in ancient times, and still believed by some today, that omens bring divine messages from the gods. These omens include natural phenomena, for example an eclipse, abnormal births of animals (especially humans) and behaviour of the sacrificial lamb on its way to the slaughter. Specialists, known as diviners, variously existed to interpret these omens. They would also use an artificial method, for example, a clay model of a sheep liver, to communicate with their gods in times of crisis. They would expect a binary answer, either yes or no, favourable or unfavourable. They did these to predict what would happen in the future and to take action to avoid disaster. Though the word ''omen'' is usually devoid of reference to the change's nature, hence being possibly either "good" or "bad", the term is more often used in a forebod ...

Nightclubs generally restrict access to people in terms of age, attire, personal belongings, and inappropriate behaviors. Music In Frankfurt
Music is generally defined as the art of arranging sound to create some combination of form, harmony, melody, rhythm or otherwise expressive content. Exact definitions of music vary considerably around the world, though it is an aspect of all human societies, a cultural universal. While scholars agree that music is defined by a few specific elements, there is no consensus on their precise definitions. The creation of music is commonly divided into musical composition, musical improvisation, and musical performance, though the topic itself extends into academic disciplines, criticism, philosophy, and psychology. Music may be performed or improvised using a vast range of instruments, including the human voice. In some musical contexts, a performance or composition may be to some extent improvised. For instance, in Hindustani classical music, the performer plays spontaneously while following a partially defined structure and using characteristic motifs. In modal jazz the p ...
