Cocco
is a female Japanese pop / folk rock singer. Early life Cocco went to many ballet auditions, hoping to become a professional ballerina. She went to singing auditions to earn the traveling expenses for a ballet audition in Tokyo. She did not pass it, but after impressing the judges, she was later signed by Victor Entertainment. Career Cocco made her debut on an indie label under the name "Cocko" with a self-titled EP ''Cocko'' on November 21, 1996. A track from the EP, ''Sing a Song ~No Music, No Life~'', was used in an advertising campaign for Tower Records Japan. On March 21, 1997, Cocco changed the official spelling of her name to "Cocco" and released her major label debut single ''Countdown''. A full-length album followed shortly after. It was not until 1998 when she scored a big hit in Japan with ''Tsuyoku Hakanaimonotachi'', which sold more than 250,000. Hirohisa Horie
is a Japanese musician and multi-instrumentalist. He plays primarily keyboards and guitar. Horie is one half of the Shibuya-kei duo Neil & Iraiza, and is known for his work with artists such as Kahimi Karie and Cornelius (as a member of the Cornelius Group). Biography While a student of Tama Art University, Horie participated in many musicians' live performances and in recording sessions as a session keyboardist. ''Bougainvillea'' ( , ) is a genus of thorny ornamental vines, bushes, and trees belonging to the four o' clock family, Nyctaginaceae. , known professionally as hide, was a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the rock band X Japan from 1987 to 1997 and a solo artist from 1993 onward. He also formed the United States-based rock supergroup Zilch in 1996. Hide sold millions of records, both solo and as a member of X Japan. X Japan rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s, credited as founders of the Japanese visual kei movement. When they disbanded in 1997, he focused on his solo career which started four years prior and went on to enjoy significant popularity. At the height of his fame, while recording his third studio album and about to launch an international career with the newly formed Zilch, he died in 1998 of what was ruled a suicide by hanging.
