Clásico Joven
The Clásico Joven (''Spanish for'': ''The Young Classic'') is an association football rivalry between Mexico City-based teams Club América and Cruz Azul. The first match between both teams was on 30 August 1964 in the stadium 10 de Diciembre, with Club América winning the match 2–1 with goals by Marín Ibarreche and Alfonso Portugal, while Hilario Díaz scored for the Cruz Azul. However, the clásico truly began on 9 August 1972 when both teams played against each other in the final during the 1971–72 season, where the "cementeros" defeated América 4–1. Club América
Club de Fútbol América S.A. de C.V., commonly known as Club América or simply América, is a professional football club based in Mexico City. Nicknamed ''Las Águilas'' (The Eagles), it competes in Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football. The club was founded in 1916, and since 1959 has been owned by media company Televisa. Edoardo Isella D'Gómez Ventoza (born 9 October 1980), known as Edoardo Isella, is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is known as one of the first Afro-Mexicans to debut for CD Guadalajara. Early life Isella was born in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas to a Afro-Honduran father and a Mexican mother. International career Isella was eligible to play for Mexico or Honduras at international level. Miguel Zepeda
Miguel Ángel Zepeda Espinoza (born 25 May 1976) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Zepeda made his professional debut on November 13, 1996 in 2-2 draw against Chivas. He has played most of his career with Atlas, from 1996 to 2001. In the Invierno 2001 he transferred to Cruz Azul. With Cruz Azul Zepeda spent 4 short tournaments. In the 2003 Apertura Zepeda transferred to Monarcas Morelia, where he did not have any success. In the 2004 Clausura Zepeda he transferred to Toluca, where Toluca got eliminated in the semifinals by Guadalajara. Pedro Pineda
Pedro Pineda (born 30 November 1971) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was a member of the Mexico national football team competing at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Pineda was one of the first Mexican football players to join a Serie A club, which was AC Milan in 1991. He was signed by the club after the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 1991.
