Clyde Crashcup
Clyde Crashcup is a fictional character from the early 1960s animated television series ''The Alvin Show''. He is a scientist in a white coat who tends to "invent" things that had already been invented; his experiments invariably fail. He usually invented by penciling the concept in air, with the picture becoming the actual object. The character has also appeared in comics and other Alvin and the Chipmunks works after ''The Alvin Show''. Creation Clyde Crashcup was created by Ross Bagdasarian. Ross S. Bagdasarian (; January 27, 1919 – January 16, 1972), known professionally by his stage name David Seville, was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor, best known for creating the cartoon band Alvin and the Chipmunks. Initially a stage and film actor, he rose to prominence in 1958 with the songs "Witch Doctor" and "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)", which both became ''Billboard'' number-one singles. He produced and directed ''The Alvin Show'', which aired on CBS in 1961–62. Life Bagdasarian was born on January 27, 1919, in Fresno, California to an Armenian-American Family. June Foray (born June Lucille Forer; September 18, 1917 – July 26, 2017) was an American voice actress. She was best known as the voice of such animated characters as Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Natasha Fatale, Nell Fenwick, Lucifer from Disney's ''Cinderella'', Cindy Lou Who, Jokey Smurf, Granny from the Warner Bros. cartoons directed by Friz Freleng, Grammi Gummi from ''Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears'' series, and Magica De Spell, among many others. John Stanley (March 22, 1914 – November 11, 1993) was an American cartoonist and comic book writer, best known for writing Little Lulu comic book stories from 1945 to 1959. While mostly known for scripting, Stanley also drew many of his stories, including the earliest issues of ''Little Lulu'' and its ''Tubby'' spinoff series.
