Club Deportivo San Andrés Basquet
Club Deportivo San Andrés is an Argentine sports club based in San Andrés district of General San Martín Partido, Greater Buenos Aires. The club gained notoriety during the 1980s, when its basketball team competed in the first division, winning the last edition of Campeonato Argentino in 1984, prior to creation of Liga Nacional de Básquet. Apart from basketball, San Andrés hosts the practise of other sports, such as Five-a-side football, karate, swimming, tennis and volleyball. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. 1985 Intercontinental Cup (basketball)
The 1985 FIBA Club World Cup was the 19th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup for men's basketball clubs. It was the second edition of the competition that was held under the name of FIBA Club World Cup. It took place at Barcelona and Girona. From the FIBA European Champions Cup participated Banco di Roma Virtus, Limoges, Cibona, and FC Barcelona. Also participating were Monte Líbano, San Andrés, and Guantánamo from the South American Club Championship.
