Club 3 Degrees
Club 3 Degrees, sometimes shortened to Club 3, is a Christian nightclub located in the warehouse district of Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is believed to be the largest Christian nightclub in the United States today. Club 3 Degrees is a branch of 3 Degrees Ministries. History 3 Degrees Ministries, the club's parent company, was founded in 1989 under the name "The New Union." Club 3 Degrees formed at the same time. The club stayed at its second location, after moving from the Old Union Bar and Grille, until 2003. At that point, the ministry, along with Club 3 and 3 Degrees Church, moved to the warehouse district of Minneapolis where it remained for 8 years. The move to the warehouse district attracted attention from major magazines such as Newsweek and Rolling Stone. Hyland (band)
Hyland was an American Christian rock band originating from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band released two EPs independently before signing to Tooth & Nail Records on October 25, 2010. Their debut album was released on May 3, 2011. Formation (2006-2009) Hyland formed in 2006 in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a local Christian pop rock band. Hyland gained local attention as they traveled the state of Minnesota, and eventually the United States, and performed at local clubs and various scenes, including performing at U.S. festivals (Lifest, Sonshine, etc.), and winning a music tournament at Club 3 Degrees, which is described by the awarding organization as "nationally recognized." Tooth & Nail Records is a Christian rock record label founded by Brandon Ebel in California in November 1993. The label later moved to Seattle, Washington where it is situated today. It is home to many well-known musical acts, including Underoath, Hawk Nelson, Emery, The Almost, FM Static, Family Force 5, Anberlin, and MxPx. Tooth & Nail's first album released was Wish for Eden's ''Pet the Fish'', which was produced by Michael Knott and originally slated to be released by Blonde Vinyl. Subsequent releases from The Juliana Theory, MxPx, and Starflyer 59 made Tooth & Nail a strong force in Christian music circles, as well as a niche underground subculture in itself. Lecrae Devaughn Moore (born October 9, 1979), mononymously known as Lecrae, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record and film producer, record executive, actor, and entrepreneur. He is the president, co-owner and co-founder of the independent record label Reach Records, was the co-founder and president of the now-defunct non-profit organization ReachLife Ministries, is an investor and co-owner of the audio production software MXD, and is a co-founder of the film production studio 3 Strand Films. To date, he has released ten studio albums and three mixtapes as a solo artist, and has released three studio albums, a remix album, one EP, and numerous singles as the leader of the hip hop group 116 Clique. Brian "Head" Welch
Brian Philip Welch (born June 19, 1970), also known by his stage name Head, is an American musician. He is one of the guitarists and founding member of the nu metal band Korn and his solo project Love and Death, where he also provides vocals. Along with fellow Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer, Welch helped develop Korn's distinctive sound (a mix of sirenlike shards of dissonant guitar that mimicked a turntablist's various effects and rumbling down-tuned riffing) that defined the nu metal aesthetic beginning in the mid-'90s. After becoming a born again Christian, Welch left the band in 2005 to focus on life as a father and to pursue his own solo career. Philmont (band)
Philmont was an American pop punk influenced Christian rock band based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. They were signed to Forefront Records / EMI CMG until Spring 2010. Their debut album, ''Attention'', was released on August 25, 2009. They released two independent EPs before breaking up in August 2012. History Philmont was formed by Scott Taube, Josiah Prince, Abe Hege, and Matthew Arcaini in Summer of 2005. They recorded their independent debut EP ''Take Cover'' in December of that year. One year later, Philmont traveled to Eudora, Kansas to record their ''Photosynthetic'' EP at Black Lodge Studios with Ed Rose. Kirk Dewayne Franklin (born January 26, 1970) is an American songwriter, choir director, gospel singer, and rapper. He is best known for leading urban contemporary gospel ensembles such as The Family, God's Property, and One Nation Crew (1NC) among many others. He has won numerous awards, including 16 Grammy Awards. ''Variety'' dubbed Franklin as a "Reigning King of Urban Gospel", and is one of the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame. FF5 (formerly known as Family Force 5, The Phamily, Ground Noise and The Brothers) is an American Christian rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. Project 86 is an American metal band from Orange County, California, formed in 1996. The band has released ten albums, which have collectively sold nearly 500,000 units worldwide, two EPs, two DVDs, and one live album.
