Clit 45
Clit 45 was an American punk rock band from Long Beach, California, United States, that formed in 1996. The band played traditional, fast punk, influenced by the Adolescents, Poison Idea and Bad Religion. Their second and third albums were published by BYO Records and distributed by Cargo Records in Europe. They toured with the Casualties, the Briefs, New Mexican Disaster Squad, Complete Control, the Riffs, the Krays, Defiance, Dropkick Murphys, the Virus, the Unseen, Bad Religion, and A Global Threat. Their last show was in Portland, OR in October 2006. After a yearlong hiatus, Clit 45 announced that they had officially disbanded on Christmas Day, 2007 via their MySpace page. Following their disbandment, Clit 45 played a handful of lives shows between 2011 and 2019. On stage in 2019 Oklahoma they announced that they would never play live again. The Riffs
The Riffs are a rock and roll and punk band from Portland, Oregon. They have released three full-length albums, all on indie labels, namely Pelado Records, Vendetta Records, and TKO Records. Influences The Riffs are heavily influenced by early punk bands, most notably the Sex Pistols, whose influence can be heard most prominently in the guitars, Sham 69 and the Dead Boys (they paid tribute to the Dead Boys on the cover of "Dead End Dream"). Like other bands that played the first wave of punk music, they were also fans of Protopunk like Eddie and the Hot Rods and The Velvet Underground, as displayed by their cover of "Waiting for My Man" on ''Underground Kicks''. Street Punk Groups
A street is a public thoroughfare in a built environment. It is a public parcel of landform, land adjoining buildings in an urban area, urban context, on which people may freely assemble, interact, and move about. A Global Threat
A Global Threat (AGT) was an American punk rock band, formed in Bangor, Maine in 1997. They released four full-length albums as well as many 7-inch EPs and toured extensively throughout the United States. History 1997–2000 Originally formed in Maine in 1997, the band relocated to Boston, Massachusetts in 1998 where it was based until their breakup. The band's original members were Bryan Lothian, Brett Threat, Westie, and Tubby Tim. In 1998 the band recorded and self-released their first EP, ''The Kids Will Revolt Against All Authority'', on Crack Rock Records. Soon after, Mike Graves and Petrov Curtis joined the band (on drums and guitar respectively) and they began playing live shows in Boston and New York. During this period, the band met Mark Civitarese (a member of Boston punk group The Unseen), who would become a major supporter of the band before later joining it himself. The Unseen is an American street punk band that was formed in 1993 in Hingham, Massachusetts. One of the more prominent bands to revive street punk, The Unseen was originally called The Extinct. The Virus is an American street punk band from Philadelphia that formed in 1998. Reformed in 2013, the current lineup includes Paul Sorrels on vocals, Zach Kolodziejski on lead guitar, Fat Dave on rhythm guitar, Josh Howard on bass, and Tyler Capone on drums. The Virus is actively playing shows and booking tours. History The Virus formed in February 1998, with Mike Virus on vocals, Chris on lead guitar, Fat Dave on guitar, Jarrod on drums, and Geoff on bass. The band played their first show a month later. During the band's first six months, they performed several concerts, including one in Philadelphia with the band Special Duties, and another at the now-closed Coney Island High in New York City. Dropkick Murphys
Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996. Singer and bassist Ken Casey has been the band's only constant member. Other current members include drummer Matt Kelly (1997– ), singer Al Barr (1998– ), guitarist James Lynch (2000– ), multi-instrumentalist Tim Brennan (2003– ) and multi-instrumentalist Jeff DaRosa (2007– ). The band was initially signed to independent punk record label Hellcat Records, releasing five albums for the label, and building a reputation locally through constant touring and yearly St. Patrick's Day week shows, held in and around Boston. Defiance are an American anarcho street punk band from Portland, Oregon, formed in 1993. Their discography includes five EPs, four albums, and one album of out of print and rare songs. They have been cited as major influences on bands such as Anti-Flag and The Unseen. History In the winter of 1993, members from the bands Deprived, Unamused and Resist formed the first line-up of Defiance, with Tony and Alaric on vocals, Mike on guitar and vocals, Kelly on bass and Eric on drums. Shortly after, the band entered the studio to record what would later become the first two EPs: Defiance and Burn, both released on Consensus Reality, label property of Kelly, bassist of the band. The Krays are an American street punk band from Brooklyn, New York, who formed in 1994. John writes all the lyrics. The Krays played one of the last shows at CBGB in New York City.
