Cleto, Calabria
Cleto (, local slang: Petramala, Pietramala) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy. It is located on the hills facing the Aeolian Islands, and the river Savuto. The town is situated at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level at the feet of Mount St. Angelo, a few kilometers from the Tyrrhenian Sea and not far from the Lamezia Terme International Airport. The hillside location means that the climate is very dry with hot summers and mild winters. The flora is typical of the Mediterranean area, with numerous olive trees and, in the area of the river Savuto, oranges and lemons. The oil production is one of the mainstays of the local economy, as well as tourism and agriculture in general. The mediterranean weather also allows to grow different vegetables and fruits like tomato, zucchini, eggplant, pear, peach, prickly pear cactus and potato. Terina (ancient City)
Terina ( grc, Τερίνα and Τέρινα) was an ancient city of Magna Graecia on the north shore of the Gulf of Saint Euphemia, about from Lamezia Terme in Calabria. The site of the city was allegedly found in 1922 by the archaeologist Paolo Orsi near the modern village of Sant'Eufemia Vetere, but a systematic archaeological investigation was only started in 1997 and it is only based on coins found there. Coins, inscriptions and other artefacts retrieved from the site can be seen in the Museo Archeologico Lametino in Lamezia Terme.The actual collocation of the ancient city is in Sant’Eufemia Vetere where the original location is situated on top of a hill called Piano di Tirena. Peter Chiarelli (born August 5, 1964) is a current Canadian ice hockey executive and former player. He is the Vice President of Hockey Operations for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. Majolica
In different periods of time and in different countries, the term ''majolica'' has been used for two distinct types of pottery. Firstly, from the mid-15th century onwards, was ''maiolica'', a type of pottery reaching Italy from Spain, Majorca and beyond. Temesa (ancient City)
Temesa ( grc, Τεμέση or Τεμέσα oric, later called Tempsa, was an ancient city of Magna Graecia, in Italy, on the shore of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It was situated close to Terina, but its precise location has not yet been found. It is thought to have been located near the Savuto river to the north of the Gulf of Sant'Euphemia. Lamezia Terme International Airport ( it, link=no, Aeroporto Internazionale di Lamezia Terme "Sant'Eufemia") is an airport in the Sant'Eufemia district of Lamezia Terme, Calabria, Italy.
