Clearfield Canal Trail
The Clearfield Canal Trail is a trail that parallels the Davis Weber Canal within Clearfield, Utah, United States The United States of America (U.S.A. or USA), commonly known as the United States (U.S. or US) or America, is a country primarily located in North America. It consists of 50 states, a federal district, five major unincorporated territori .... It begins at North 1200 West (University Park Boulevard) and travels northwest, roughly along the course of the canal. Along its path, it crosses South 1500 East and Bernard Fisher Highway ( SR-193/South 700 East) before crossing twice over the canal. The trail temporarily ends at East 200 South, immediately east of I-15, but resumes at East 300 North (on the west side of I-15. After crossing Bruce Street, it reaches West 650 North ( SR-103), with North Main Street ( SR-126 to the west and I-15 to the east). There are eventual plans to connect the two sections of the trail. Clearfield, Utah
Clearfield is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. The population was 31,364 at the 2020 census. The city grew rapidly during the 1940s, with the formation of Hill Air Force Base, and in the 1950s with the nationwide increase in suburb and "bedroom" community populations and has been steadily growing since then. Clearfield is a principal city of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Davis, Morgan, and Weber counties. History Clearfield was one of the last communities to be settled in the northern part of Davis County (1877). Hunters and Native American warriors knew this land before the first white man settled here. They referred to it as the land of wind and sand. State Route 193 is an east and west highway located completely in Davis County, Utah, United States that begins at 3000 West, runs past the south entrance of Hill Air Force Base and ends at US-89. Route description SR-193 begins at the intersection of 3000 West and Bernard F. Fisher Highway in Syracuse and heads east on the latter as a four-lane highway divided by a center turn lane. After crossing SR-108 (2000 West), the route turns southeast, passing north of the Freeport Center, then returns east, crossing over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. SR-193 descends into Clearfield as a four-lane undivided highway through suburban Clearfield, crossing SR-126 at Main Street. After a couple of intersections with local roads and passing to the north of a park, the road intersects with I-15 at exit 334, a diamond interchange. Interstate 15 (I-15) runs north–south in the U.S. state of Utah through the southwestern and central portions of the state, passing through most of the state's population centers, including St. George and those comprising the Wasatch Front: Provo–Orem, Salt Lake City, and Ogden–Clearfield. Utah State Route 103
State Route 103 (SR-103) is a urban minor arterial state highway in the U.S. state of Utah. It branches off from SR-126 (Main Street) in downtown Clearfield and extends east to Interstate 15 (I-15), with the roadway continuing to the Falcon Hill National Aerospace Research Park, just outside Hill Air Force Base. The entire route is located in Davis County and was formed in 1965 coinciding with the construction of I-15. The western terminus, in a stretch of fourteen years from its inception, has gone from SR-1 in 1965, to SR-106 in 1967, to SR-84 in 1969, and SR-126 in 1979. In 1979, the moniker of the roadway for SR-103 was changed from 600 North to 650 North. SR-103 is one of four Utah state highways that connect to Hill Air Force Base, the others being SR-97, SR-168, and SR-232. Utah State Route 126
State Route 126 (SR-126) is a highway completely within the Ogden-Clearfield metropolitan area in northern Utah that makes a loop around Interstate 15 in its more than twenty-one mile path. The street is given the names Main Street, 1900 West and 2000 West respectively from south to north. Previous to 1977, SR-126 was a road in southern Utah. A portion of the highway is an old routing of US-91. Route description After its southern terminus, the route heads northwest in Layton. After entering Clearfield, the route turns straight to the north. It continues this direction through Sunset, Roy, and West Haven before veering to the northwest when the highway reaches Marriott-Slaterville.
