Clarence Olafemi
Clarence Olafemi is a Nigerian politician who was appointed acting Governor of Kogi State in February 2008, after the election of governor Ibrahim Idris was annulled. He handed back to Ibrahim Idris on 29 March 2008 after Idris had won a fresh election. Olafemi was born in the Mopa-Muro Local Government Area of Kogi State. He is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was a governorship candidate in the old Kwara State. Olafemi was elected to the Kogi State house of assembly for the Mopamuro Constituency in April 2007 on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform. In September 2007, the Kogi State Election Petitions Tribunal in Lokoja nullified his election. He appealed this decision, and in February 2008, the Court of Appeal in Abuja upturned the judgement. Lokoja
Lokoja is a city in Nigeria. It lies at the confluence of the Niger and Benue rivers and is the capital city of Kogi State. While the Yoruba (Oworo), Bassa Nge and Nupe are indigenous to the area, other ethnic groups of Nigeria, including the Kupa-Nupe, Hausa, Ebira, Igala, Igbo, Bini/Edo, and Tiv have recently established themselves. Projected to be the third fastest growing African continent city between 2020 and 2025, with a 5.93% growth. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is a Nigerian law enforcement agency that investigates financial crimes such as advance fee fraud (419 fraud) and money laundering. The EFCC was established in 2003, partially in response to pressure from the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF), which named Nigeria as one of 23 countries non-cooperative in the international community's efforts to fight money laundering. Abuja () is the capital and eighth most populous city of Nigeria. Kwara State
Kwara State ( yo, Ìpínlẹ̀ Kwárà), is a state in Western Nigeria, bordered to the east by Kogi State, to the north by Niger state, and to the south by Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states, while its western border makes up part of the international border with Benin Republic. Ibrahim Idris (born 1949) is a Nigeria businessman who was elected governor of Kogi State in Nigeria in April 2003, and reelected in April 2007. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Idris was succeeded by his brother-in-law Captain Idris Wada, who won election in December 2011 and took office in January 2012. Background Ibrahim Idris was born in 1949 at Idah town, Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State. He started his primary education in 1954 in Onitsha, Anambra State.
