Claes Elfsberg
Claes-Gösta Elfsberg (born 26 November 1948) is a Swedish television journalist. Elfsberg grew up in the district of Svedmyra in southern Stockholm. He received his upper-secondary education at Norra Real in Stockholm and then studied at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMK) at Stockholm University, from where he dropped out to work as a trainee at the daily news program '' Rapport'' at Sveriges Television (SVT) in 1971. He presented the programme for the first time in 1975 and then worked as a news presenter for over thirty years, eventually earning the nickname "Mr. Rapport". He temporarily left ''Rapport'' in 2003 to host the interview program ''24 minuter'' on the SVT channel SVT24. He has also presented the SVT program '' Dokument utifrån''. From January 2005 to December 2007, Elfsberg worked as the " ombudsman of the viewers" ( sv, tittarombudsman) at SVT. ''Aktuellt'' (literally "current; topical" or "actual") is a Swedish nightly news programme produced by Sveriges Television (SVT) and broadcast on its second channel, SVT2 in Sweden. It was first broadcast on 2 September 1958. With the start of TV 2 (forerunner of SVT2) in 1969, the ''Aktuellt'' brand disappeared but was revived in 1972 when TV1 began airing two main bulletins at 6pm and 9pm. The 6pm bulletin was moved to SVT2 in 1997, followed on 15 January 2001 by the 9pm edition. The year before, editorial responsibility for ''Aktuellt'', ''Rapport'' (SVT1's news programme), and SVT's news channel, SVT24, was unified; nevertheless, the name "Aktuellt" continues to be used to designate SVT2's news programmes. SVT Play
SVT Play is the brand used for the video on demand service offered by Sveriges Television, more specifically to the streaming services offered on the SVT website, svt.se, and its counterpart for mobile phones. The brand was introduced in December 2006, when the existing streaming television service got a new name. In September 2007, SVT launched their own channel on YouTube. From late 2007 until end of 2008 SVT Play was also available as a channel on Joost. SVT claims that the service offers more than 2,000 hours of television. Most programmes produced for or by SVT are published on SVT Play after they have been broadcast and are then available for 30 days. SVT have also launched "channels" dedicated at different audiences under the "Play" name. The first such channel was Play Bolibompa which launched in late 2007. Video on demand (VOD) is a media distribution system that allows users to access videos without a traditional video playback device and the constraints of a typical static broadcasting schedule. SVT24
SVT24, stylized as svt24, formerly known as SVT 24 (then stylized svt 24) or 24 is a Swedish language TV channel broadcast by Sveriges Television (SVT). It started broadcasting in 1999 as a dedicated news channel. In 2003 it extended its scope to include other current events-related programmes and sports at the weekend. Nowadays the channel mainly consists of news, sports and entertainment programmes with a focus on reruns from SVT1 and SVT2. History On 15 March 1999 at 13:15 the broadcasting of SVT24 started.
