Circuito De Baloncesto De La Costa Del Pacífico
The Basketball Circuit of the Pacific Coast ( or ''CIBACOPA'') is a basketball league based in Northwestern Mexico. As of 2018, it involves 10 clubs, primarily from northwest Mexico. The matches take place from March to June. History A league with the same name existed in the 1980s, and the second incarnation was founded in 2001. The charter members were Caballeros de Culiacán, Delfines de Mazatlán, Frayles de Guasave, Lobos Marinos de La Paz, Paisas de Los Cabos, and Pioneros de Los Mochis. Caballeros de Culiacán won the inaugural league title by defeating Delfines de Mazatlán four games to none in the finals. The 2019 season saw a total attendance of more than 220,000. The league celebrated its 20th season in 2020. A new franchise, Gallos de Aguascalientes, was set to join but were expelled before the season began. Paisas De Los Cabos
A Paisa is someone from a region in the northwest of Colombia, including part of the West and Central ''cordilleras'' of the Andes in Colombia. The Paisa region is formed by the departments of Antioquia, Caldas, Risaralda and Quindío. Some regions of Valle del Cauca Department (north) and Tolima Department (west) culturally identify as ''paisas''. The main cities of the Paisa region are Medellín, Pereira, Manizales and Armenia. The name Paisa derives from the Spanish apocope of ''Paisano'' (countryman), but they are also known as "Antioqueños" (those from the old Antioquia, which included the other Paisa provinces, which was a single administrative body until the creation of the Caldas State in 1905). Arena ITSON
Arena ITSON is a 7,464-seat indoor arena located in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora. It was built in 2009 by the Sonora Institute of Technology, for whom it was named and which also owns the Potros ITSON basketball team, which serves as the arena's anchor tenant. The arena seats 3,500 for basketball, including eight luxury suites holding eight fans each and 32 boxes, including 28 holding 12 fans each and additional four holding 15 fans each. A sports bar overlooks the arena floor and provides a unique seating area with 200 seats providing a view of the action. The arena is also used for concerts, boxing, lucha libre, graduation ceremonies and other special events. Polideportivo UAS is a 2,902-seat indoor arena located in Culiacan, Sinaloa. It is used primarily for basketball, and is home to the Universidad Autonoma de Sinaloa basketball team, as well as the former home of the Caballeros de Culiacan basketball team. It is notable for having video screens above each sideline. The Universidad's athletic department is headquartered at the Polideportivo. The Halcones de Ciudad Obregón (English: ''Ciudad Obregón Falcons'') are a Mexican professional basketball team based in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora. Venados de Mazatlán ( en, Mazatlán Deer) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican Pacific League based in Mazatlan, Sinaloa.
