Circuit ICAR
The International Center of Advanced Racing (Circuit ICAR) is a multi-track facility located on the former runways at Montréal–Mirabel International Airport, in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada north of Montreal. The facility features a 2.125-mile (3.4 km), 16-turn road course, a 0.4 mile oval, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) drag strip, two kart tracks, a driftpark and an offroad course. The facility opened in May 2008 as a private motorsport country club, and was opened to the general public in 2009 with the opening of the ICAR Racing Academy, and a karting track designed by Formula One World Champion Jacques Villeneuve. Circuit ICAR now hosts weekly drag racing events, lapping nights, car clubs and major Canadian race series including the Canadian Touring Car Championship and the NASCAR Pinty's Series. 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series
The 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season is the seventh season of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series taking place in the summer of 2013. The season composed of twelve races at ten different venues. Seven of those events were contested on oval courses. Summary The seventh season consists of 12 events spanning across 5 provinces featuring 12 events. Television rights are once again licensed to TSN in one-hour tape-delayed episodes, excluding both events at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park road course which will be aired live on TSN and CTV. The season started on May 19 at the newly renovated Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with Louis-Philippe Dumoulin collecting his first series win with longtime veteran Jeff Lapcevich finishing second. After a two-year hiatus the series is set to return to the Autodrome St. Eustache on 27 July as the events in Montreal and Edmonton Airport will not return the calendar. Sanair Super Speedway
Sanair Super Speedway is a motorsports park with a 0.826-mile (1.33 km) paved triangular oval race track, a quarter-mile dragstrip, a 1/3-mile oval, as well as a 0.12-mile mini-oval and 0.15-mile karting course. It also formerly had a -mile road course which has since ceased to be used. It is located in Saint-Pie, Quebec. It hosted the Molson Indy Montreal from 1984 to 1986. The dragstrip previously hosted the NHRA's ''Le Grandnationals Molson'' until Canadian fuel regulations, prohibiting leaded race fuel, forced the NHRA to quit holding a national event in the country. Circuit Mont-Tremblant
Circuit Mont-Tremblant () is a race circuit about south of the village of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada. The name of the village of Saint-Jovite was often included in the name of the circuit, but since the village was amalgamated into Mont-Tremblant in the year 2000, it is no longer considered or functions as an independent entity. History The first two sections of the circuit were built in 1964 and extended by another mile into September 1965. The extension featured long straights and by virtue of the terrain, a small hill. Nicknamed "the Hump" it gained legendary status during the inaugural 1966 Can Am race. Two drivers in practice found that their cars, both near identical Lola T70 CanAm cars, launched themselves into the air. Both drivers emerged unhurt but were unable to compete in the race. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, also spelled ''Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve'' (), is a motor racing circuit in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is the venue for the FIA Formula One Canadian Grand Prix. It has previously hosted the FIA World Sportscar Championship, the Champ Car World Series, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. The 2017 NASCAR Pinty's Series was the eleventh season of the NASCAR Pinty's Series. Beginning on May 21 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the season consisted of thirteen races at eleven different venues in Canada. The season ended at Jukasa Motor Speedway on September 23. Cayden Lapcevich is the defending Drivers' Champion. Alex Labbé won the championship when the Green Flag dropped at the last race, as there were not enough entries for Labbé to lose that many points that Kevin Lacroix could have taken the championship. Labbé won the championship by a 16-point margin over Lacroix. The 2016 NASCAR Pinty's Series was the tenth season of the NASCAR Pinty's Series. Beginning on May 22 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the season consisted of twelve races at eleven different venues in Canada. The season ended at Kawartha Speedway on September 18. Scott Steckly was the defending Drivers' Champion. Cayden Lapcevich won the 2016 championship when the Green Flag dropped at the last race, as there were not enough entries for Lapcevich to lose that many points that Andrew Ranger could have taken the championship. Lapcevich won the championship by a 54-point margin over Ranger. The season was the first since naming rights of the series were transferred from Canadian Tire to frozen chicken supplier Pinty's.
