"Circles" is a single by Macedonian singer Andrea. The song represented North Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy after winning ''2022'', North Macedonia's national final. Background Eurovision Song Contest 2022 ''Za Evrosong 2022'' A submission period was opened for interested artists and composers to submit their entries between 10 December 2021 and 16 January 2022. MRT received 47 submissions at the closing of the deadline. Six entries were selected by a special jury from the submissions and were announced on 21 January 2022. The competing entries were released to the public on 28 January 2022. The six competing artists and songs were presented to the public on 28 January 2022 during the MRT programme . Andrea Koevska ( mk, Андреа Коевска; born 14 February 2000), best known under her mononym Andrea, is a Macedonian singer. She represented North Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with "Circles". Early life Andrea was born in Skopje on 14 February 2000. At the age of five, she was inspired by the musical scene in Harlem, New York. Career While posting short videos of herself singing famous pop and rock songs, producer Aleksandar Masevski noticed her and offered Andrea to collaborate with him. 2022: Eurovision Song Contest In 2022, Andrea was selected to represent North Macedonia after winning the national selection, ''Za Evrosong'' ''2022.'' North Macedonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with the song "Circles" performed by Andrea. The North Macedonian broadcaster Macedonian Radio Television (MRT) organised the national final '' 2022'' in order to select the North Macedonian entry for the 2022 contest. Six entries competed in the national final and "Circles" performed by Andrea was announced as the winner on 4 February 2022 following the combination of votes from a five-member international jury panel and a public vote. North Macedonia was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 12 May 2022. Jana Burčeska ( mk, Јана Бурческа, ; born 6 July 1993) is a Macedonian singer. She represented Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Ukraine, with the song " Dance Alone". Burčeska first came to prominence in her native country in 2011 after competing in ''Macedonian Idol''. During the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, she acted as a press assistant and jury voting spokesperson for the Macedonian Radio Television.
