''CinderElmo'' is a 65-minute television film that aired on Fox in the United States on December 6, 1999. It was released on VHS and DVD in North America on February 29, 2000. His stepfamily has received invitations to the Princess' Ball, which leaves CinderElmo to do all the house chores. ''Elmo's Christmas Countdown'' is a 2007 television Christmas film, featuring the characters from ''Sesame Street''. It was first aired on December 23, 2007, on ABC and starred Ben Stiller. Plot synopsis In ''Elmo's Christmas Countdown'', Stiller the Elf (Ben Stiller) is telling Stan the snowball how Christmas was almost ruined. He recounts how he visited Sesame Street because he believed Oscar the Grouch would start the official countdown to Christmas. However, due to his hatred of the Christmas season, Oscar tosses the magical counting blocks into the air and they disappear. Steven Lawrence Whitmire (born September 24, 1959) is an American puppeteer, known primarily for his work on ''The Muppets'' and ''Sesame Street''. Beginning his involvement with the Muppets in 1978, Whitmire inherited the roles of Ernie and Kermit the Frog after Jim Henson's death in 1990; he performed the characters until 2014 and 2016, respectively.
