Hylton Dayes
Hylton Dayes is the head men's soccer coach at the University of Cincinnati. He has coached the Bearcats since 2001, and has compiled an 80–73–21 mark there. Career He played his college soccer at Wright State University, where he was a four-year starter. From 1986 to 1993, he was the head women's soccer coach at Wright State. From 1994 to 1996, he served as an assistant coach at James Madison University. From 1997 to 2000, he was the head men's soccer coach at Wright State University, where he went 32–37–8. At Cincinnati, he led the Bearcats to their third ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2006, and is the winningest soccer coach in school history. His 2006 team won the Big East red division title, and was ranked as high as 14th in the nation at one point. After 28 seasons his overall career record as a head coach stood at 232–244–63. The Northwestern Wildcats men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, United States. Kentucky Wildcats Men's Soccer
The Kentucky Wildcats men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of the University of Kentucky (UK). Since the Southeastern Conference (SEC) does not sponsor men's soccer (minimum four schools needed to sponsor a sport, only two offer it), the team has been associate members of other conferences. From 1995 to 2004, it was a member of the Mid-American Conference. In 2005, UK moved men's soccer to Conference USA, creating a rivalry with fellow new member South Carolina, which had rejoined the reunified conference that season. Both UK and South Carolina remained in C-USA men's soccer through the 2021 season, after which both programs left for the newly reinstated men's soccer league of the Sun Belt Conference. The Butler Bulldogs men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Butler University, an NCAA Division I member school located in Indianapolis, IN. The team played its final season in the Horizon League in 2011; on July 1, 2012, the Bulldogs joined the Atlantic 10 Conference for one season. The team currently plays in the Big East Conference. History Butler University first fielded a varsity men's soccer team in 1989, when they earned a 12–7 record under head coach Langdon Kumler, including a 7–0 record against teams from the state of Indiana. The 2006 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament was a tournament of 48 teams from NCAA Division I who played for the NCAA Championship in soccer. The College Cup Final Four was held at Hermann Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. All the other games were played at the home field of the higher-seeded team. The final was held on December 3, 2006. Big East Conference (1979–2013)
The Big East Conference was a collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The conference's members participated in 24 NCAA sports. The conference had a history of success at the national level in basketball throughout its history, while its shorter (1991 to 2013) football program, created by inviting one college and four other "associate members" (their football programs only) into the conference, resulted in two national championships.
