Cilento Poetry Prize
Cilento Poetry Prize (Italian: ''Premio Cilento Poesia''), is an Italian literary prize founded in 2017 by the poet, writer and literary critic Menotti Lerro and awarded annually, in the month of August, in Salento Cilento - "The Poetry Village". Criteria for nomination The prize is awarded to "a poet who, during the preceding year, has published a collection of poems already considered relevant to be part of the history of literature, or the same prize is conferred to a distinguished poet for the importance of his/her career”. Remo Bodei
Remo Bodei (3 August 1938 – 7 November 2019) was an Italian philosopher. He was a professor of the history of philosophy at the UCLA University, Los Angeles California, and also had taught at the University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Bodei was born in Cagliari. His initial interests were in classical German philosophy, and the Weimar Classicism period (1770–1830). He subsequently penned over 200 papers on utopian thinkers of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and contemporary political thought. He died in Pisa, aged 81. He has been member of the Contemporary Centre of Arts founded by Menotti Lerro. He won the Cilento Poetry Prize for criticism in 2020 (posthumous). Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park (Italian ''Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni'') is an Italian national park in the Province of Salerno, in Campania in southern Italy. It includes much of the Cilento, the Vallo di Diano and the Monti Alburni. It was founded in 1991, and was formerly known as the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano. Avellino () is a town and ''comune'', capital of the province of Avellino in the Campania region of southern Italy. It is situated in a plain surrounded by mountains east of Naples and is an important hub on the road from Salerno to Benevento. Salerno
Salerno (, , ; nap, label= Salernitano, Saliernë, ) is an ancient city and ''comune'' in Campania (southwestern Italy) and is the capital of the namesake province, being the second largest city in the region by number of inhabitants, after Naples. Tiziano Rossi
Tiziano Rossi (born in Milan, 1935) is an Italian poet. He is well known for his published books of poetry, but in 2020 he also published a collection of short tales. Biography Son of the painter Giovanni Rossi, as a poet he is considered an important exponent of the well known Lombard line (a category which id to be understood in a broad sense, not coinciding perfectly with the geographical area). In his poetry it is often clear a civil wish to defend life from industrial and technology invasions. He is the editor (with Ermanno Krumm) of the anthological work ''Poesia italiana del Novecento'', with a preface by Mario Luzi (Milan: 1995). He won the Viareggio Prize for poetry in 2000. Menotti Lerro
Menotti Augusto Serse Lerro (22 February 1980) is an Italian poet, writer, playwright, librettist and academic, born in Omignano, Salerno. His work explores matters of social alienation and existentialism, the physicality and vulnerability of the body, the interpretation of memories, the meaning of objects and the philosophical importance of human identity. In 2015 he published Donna Giovanna, l'ingannatrice di Salerno, an innovative feminine and bisexual version of the mythical figure of Don Juan, El Burlador de Sevilla, while in 2018 he wrote '' Il Dottor Faust'', an original version of the character of Faust. In addition he is the author of a New Manifesto of Arts and the founder of the Empathic movement (Empathism) that arose in the South of Italy at the beginning of 2020.
