Chugye University for the Arts is a South Korean institute of higher education in the fine arts. The campus is in Seodaemun-gu in central Seoul, the country's capital. Seodaemun-gu
Seodaemun District (, "Great West Gate") is one of the 25 districts of Seoul, South Korea. Seodaemun has a population of 313,814 (2010) and has a geographic area of 17.61 km2 (6.8 sq mi), and is divided into 14 '' dong'' (administrative neighborhoods). Seodaemun is located in northwestern Seoul, bordering the city districts of Eunpyeong to the northwest, Mapo to the southwest, Jung to the southeast, and Jongno to the east. Hwang Shin-duk
Hwang Shin-duk ( ko, 황신덕; 6 November 1898 – 22 November 1983) was a South Korean journalist, activist, educator and politician. In 1946 she was one of the four women who were appointed to the Interim Legislative Assembly, becoming South Korea's first female legislators. Biography Shin-duck was born in Pyongyang in 1898, a member of the Jaeahn Hwang clan. She attended Soongeui Girl's High School in Pyongyang until 1919 and then studied at Waseda University and the Japan Women's University in Japan, graduating in 1926.
