Chrysanthos Theodoridis
Chrysanthos Theodoridis, or simply Chrysanthos (; 22 December 1934 – 30 March 2005) was a Greek singer and songwriter. He was born in Oinoi, Kozani to a Pontic Greek family from Kars Kars (; ku, Qers; ) is a city in northeast Turkey and the capital of Kars Province. Its population is 73,836 in 2011. Kars was in the ancient region known as ''Chorzene'', (in Greek Χορζηνή) in classical historiography ( Strabo), part of ... and he wrote several songs for the Pontic music. He became a symbol for the people from Pontus worldwide. He died of a heart attack in Greece and his body was placed to accept pilgrimage by hundreds of people. The Pontic Greeks ( pnt, Ρωμαίοι, Ρωμίοι, tr, Pontus Rumları or , el, Πόντιοι, or , , ka, პონტოელი ბერძნები, ), also Pontian Greeks or simply Pontians, are an ethnically Greek group indigenous to the region of Pontus, in northeastern Anatolia (in Turkey). Kars (; ku, Qers; ) is a city in northeast Turkey and the capital of Kars Province. Its population is 73,836 in 2011.
