Christy Jacob
Christopher "Christy" Jacob (born 1944) is an Irish retired hurler who enjoyed a successful career as a centre-back with the Wexford senior team. Born in Wickmore, County Wexford, Jacob was introduced to hurling in his youth. His granduncle, Jim Mythen, was an All-Ireland medal winner with Wexford in 1910. Jacob quickly established himself on the Oulart–The Ballagh junior team. A championship medal winner in the junior and intermediate grades, he lost several senior championship finals. Jacob made his debut on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Wexford minor team. After little success in this grade, he later won an All-Ireland medal with the under-21 team. Jacob joined the senior team during the 1966 championship. He went on to play a key role for Wexford in attack during a successful era, and won one All-Ireland medal, one Leinster medal and one National Hurling League medal. Oulart–The Ballagh GAA
Oulart–The Ballagh is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Wexford, Ireland. The club takes its players primarily from the area around the villages of Oulart and The Ballagh. The club has won the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship on 13 occasions, most recently in 2016. Their main rivals are Buffers Alley. Leinster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Leinster GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The championship was contested as the Leinster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy. The series of games are played during the summer months with the Leinster final currently being played in July. The prize for the winning team is the Seán Robbins Cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knock-out basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the series. Seán McLoughlin (hurler)
Seán McLoughlin (born 1935) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a left corner-forward for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Rahealty, County Tipperary, McLoughlin first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Thurles CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team. He joined the senior panel during the 1958 championship. McLoughlin went on to play a key role for during a hugely successful era for the team, and won four All-Ireland medals, seven Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, McLoughlin won one Railway Cup medal. At club level he is a ten-time championship medallist with Thurles Sarsfields. Throughout his career McLoughlin made 26 championship appearances. Anthony "Tony" Doran (born April 1946) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a full-forward for the Wexford senior team. Born in Boolavogue, County Wexford, Doran first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Wexford minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior panel during the 1964–65 National League. Born in Ardfinnan, County Tipperary, Keating first played competitive Gaelic games during his schooling at CBS High School Clonmel. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor teams in both codes, before later joining the under-21 sides. He joined the senior football panel during the 1960 championship before being added to the senior hurling panel four years later. Keating was a regular member of the starting fifteen on both teams, and won two All-Ireland medals, four Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals.
