Wigan
Wigan ( ) is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Douglas, Lancashire, River Douglas. The town is midway between the two cities of Manchester, to the south-east, and Liverpool, to the south-west. Bolton lies to the north-east and Warrington to the south. Tour De Beauce
Tour de Beauce is a men's elite professional road bicycle racing multi-day event held each June in the Beauce region of Quebec, Canada since 1986. It is the oldest stage-race in North America, and is a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI)-rated 2.2 continental circuit stage race on the UCI America Tour. The Queen Stage of the Tour de Beauce features the ascension of the iconic Mont-Mégantic National Park, a 6-km climb averaging 10% and peaking at 18% on the highest elevation road in the Province of Quebec. The ZLM Tour was a cycling race held annually between 1996 and 2019 in Goes and its surroundings, in the Dutch province of Zeeland. Beaumont Trophy
The Beaumont Trophy is a cycle road race first run in 1952. The Trophy was presented to the Gosforth Road Club by Rex Beaumont who was a local cycle wholesaler on Tyneside. The Gosforth Road Club had been created in July 1951 as an offshoot of the Ridley Cycling Club as a result of young riders being unable to gain entry into local races. The race was run under BLRC Regulations from 1952 until 1959 when it came under the regulations of the newly formed British Cycling Federation. It was run continuously from 1952 to 2019, as the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK. This 67 year streak made it the longest-running road race in the UK. The Rutland–Melton International CiCLE Classic is a road bicycle race that starts in Oakham and finishes in Melton Mowbray. The 2008 version was 158 km long. Six Days Of Ghent
The Six Days of Ghent ( nl, Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent) is a six-day track cycling race held annually in Ghent, Belgium. It takes place in the Kuipke velodrome in Ghent's ''Citadelpark''. The 2006 event from 21 November to 26 November was marred by the death of one of the riders. During the fifth day's racing, Isaac Gálvez of Spain rode into the barrier edging the outside of the track and died on his way to hospital. The event includes the Memorial Patrick Sercu madison, named after the former race director at Ghent and holder of the world record for number of six-day victories, Patrick Sercu, who died in 2019. British National Team Pursuit Championships
The British National Team Pursuit Championships are held annually as part of the British National Track Championships organized by British Cycling. Prior to 1996, there were two separate team pursuit championship events for amateur and professional riders.
