Christopher Hughes (quiz Contestant)
Christopher John Hughes (born 14 August 1947) is an English television personality and one of Britain's leading quizzers. Biography Hughes was born in Enfield, Middlesex, and educated at Enfield Grammar School. He worked as a train driver and railway worker. He has been a winner of ''Mastermind'' (1983), ''International Mastermind'' (1983) and ''Brain of Britain'', 2005. He is one of only seven people ever to have won both ''Mastermind'' and ''Brain of Britain'', the others being Roger Pritchard, Kevin Ashman, Pat Gibson, Geoff Thomas, Ian Bayley, and Clive Dunning. He also appeared on ''The Weakest Link'' on 24 September 2001, and was voted out in the final elimination round without answering a single question incorrectly during the whole show, having been named the strongest link in six of the seven elimination rounds. Enfield is a large town in north London, England, north of Charing Cross. It had a population of 156,858 in 2018. The Weakest Link (British Game Show)
''The Weakest Link'' is a British television quiz show, mainly broadcast on BBC Two and BBC One. It was devised by Fintan Coyle and Cathy Dunning and developed for television by the BBC Entertainment Department. The game begins with a team of nine contestants, (eight in the revival), who take turns answering general knowledge questions within a time limit to create chains of nine correct answers in a row. At the end of each round, the players then vote one contestant, "the weakest link", out of the game. After two players are left, they play in a head-to-head penalty shootout format, with five questions asked to each contestant in turn, to determine the winner. Crewe
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. The Crewe built-up area had a total population of 75,556 in 2011, which also covers parts of the adjacent civil parishes of Willaston, Shavington cum Gresty and Wistaston. Crewe is perhaps best known as a large railway junction and home to Crewe Works; for many years, it was a major railway engineering facility for manufacturing and overhauling locomotives, but now much reduced in size. ''Eggheads'' is a British quiz show produced by 12 Yard. It was first broadcast in November 2003 chaired by Dermot Murnaghan. In 2008, Jeremy Vine became joint chair, and subsequently sole chair. The show has inspired three spinoff series: ''Are You an Egghead?'' (2008), ''Revenge of the Egghead'' (2014) and ''Make Me an Egghead'' (2016).
