Christopher Dahl (administrator)
Christopher Dahl (born August 26, 1946) served as president of the State University of New York at Geneseo from 1996 to 2014. He was the 12th person to hold the college presidency and was preceded by Carol Harter and succeeded by Denise Battles. Dahl was born in Brattleboro, Vermont. He earned an A.B. in English from Harvard College in 1968 and a Ph.D. in English Literature from Yale University in 1978. His dissertation research was on the Victorian periodical. The State University of New York College at Geneseo (SUNY Geneseo, Geneseo State College or, colloquially, "Geneseo") is a public liberal arts college in Geneseo, New York. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The college was founded in 1867 as the Wadsworth Normal and Training School before it became part of the new State University of New York system as a state liberal arts college in 1948. Carol Harter
Carol Clancey Harter (born June 1, 1941) was the 7th president of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) (1995–2006). She is the longest-serving president in UNLV history, at 11 years. From New York (state), New York, she holds Bachelor of Arts, B.A., Master of Arts, M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Binghamton University as well as three honorary doctorates. She was succeeded as president of UNLV by David B. Ashley on July 1, 2006.
