Christine Marie Flores (born September 26, 1981), better known as Christina Milian (), is an American actress and singer. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, but raised in Maryland, she signed a contract with Murder Inc. Records at the age of 19. In 2001, Milian released her self-titled debut album, which featured the singles " AM to PM" and " When You Look at Me"; the former charted within the Top 40 of the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and both peaked in the top three on the UK Singles Chart. In 2004, Milian released her second studio album '' It's About Time'', which provided her first major U.S. hit, "Dip It Low", which reached number five on the U.S. ''Billboard'' chart. "Whatever U Want" was released as the album's second single. Both singles charted within the Top 10 of the UK chart. In 2006, Milian released her third studio album ''So Amazin'''. ''It's About Time'' is the second studio album by American singer Christina Milian. The album was released by Island Records on June 15, 2004. ''It's About Time'' served as Milian's debut in the US; the September 11 attacks occurred two weeks prior to her debut album was scheduled to be released, and Milian opted to record a new album for the US market. For the production of the album, Milian worked with Bloodshy & Avant, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Cory Rooney, Warryn Campbell, Bryan-Michael Cox and Poli Paul. Records and Def Soul, both divisions of Def Jam Recordings. Its American release was postponed due to the September 11 attacks, which occurred just weeks before its intended release date of September 25.
