Christie Gamble
Christie Gamble (born May 22, 1986, as Christie Lang) is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently plays third on Team Penny Barker. Career Before moving to Nova Scotia, Gamble played with the Saskia Hollands rink out of Lacolle, Quebec. The team played in the 2010 Quebec Scotties Tournament of Hearts, losing in the 3 vs. 4 page playoff game. She then moved to Nova Scotia and joined the Marie Christianson rink. The team failed to qualify for the provincial championship, so Gamble moved on and joined Team Sarah Rhyno. The team successfully qualified for the 2012 Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts, but finished in last place in the provincial championship with a 2–5 record. The following season, the team played in their first Grand Slam of Curling event at the 2012 Colonial Square Ladies Classic where they went 1–3. Mary Mattatall
Mary Mattatall (born April 22, 1960, in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian curler and coach from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Career Juniors Mattatall won the 1979 Nova Scotia junior women's title with teammates Faith Tregunno, Susan McCurdy and Debbie Jennex. Mixed Mattatall has found the most success in her curling career representing Nova Scotia at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship. She won the event twice, in 1995 and 1998, both times throwing third stones for skip Steve Ogden. She also placed second at the 1985 Canadian Mixed, throwing third for Dave Jones. She last played in the mixed at the 2014 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship playing third for Rob Harris, finishing in sixth place. Women's Mattatall won her first Nova Scotia Tournament of Hearts in 1989, playing third for Colleen Jones. Brigitte MacPhail
Brigitte MacPhail (born June 19, 1987, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She currently skips her own team out of the Iqaluit Curling Club in Iqaluit. Career MacPhail made one appearance at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships, playing lead for the New Brunswick Mary Jane McGuire rink. At the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, the team finished in ninth place with a 6–6 record. After taking multiple seasons off, MacPhail joined the Christie Gamble rink for the 2015–16 season with Kaitlyn Veitch at second and Mary Mattatall at lead. The team did not have a great season on tour, failing to qualify for the playoffs in any of their five events. They finished with a 3–4 record at the 2016 Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts. StuSells Toronto Tankard
The Stu Sells Tankard, previously known as the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard, is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that takes place at the Barrie Curling Club in Barrie, Ontario. The event is held in a round-robin format, however, was held in a triple-knockout format for many years. The tournament is sponsored by Stu Sells, a local real estate company, and is part of the "Stu Sells Series" or events, which includes the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic, and a number of other junior and local tour events. The men's event became a World Curling Tour event in 2011, but was later discontinued after the 2019 edition. The women's event became a World Curling Tour event in 2016, but was also discontinued in 2020. Both the men's and women's events are also part of the Ontario Curling Tour.
