Christian Hartmann (historian)
''For the composer, see Christian Hartmann (composer).'' Christian Hartmann (born 15 April 1959) is a German historian. He is a research fellow at the Institute of Contemporary History (Institut für Zeitgeschichte) in Munich. Life and work Hartmann grew up in Tübingen. In 1981, he worked in the Tel Joseph kibbutz in Israel. Following his compulsory military service, he studied history, German and sport at the universities of Tübingen, Cologne and Freiburg. He completed his university studies in 1986 with the First State Exam for grammar school teaching. In 1989, he completed his PhD in Cologne with a thesis on General Franz Halder, chief of the General Staff of the German Army, 1938–1942. His doctoral supervisor was Andreas Hillgruber. From 1990 to 1991, Hartmann worked as a consultant at the Political Archives of the German Foreign Office in Bonn, where he was a member of the international historical commission on the ''Akten zur deutschen auswärtigen Politik 1918–19 ...

Christian Hartmann (composer)
Christian Hartmann (3 June 1910 – 29 May 1985) was a Norwegian composer, born in Asker. Hartmann composed melodies to a number of songs, including Prøysen's " Musevisa", "Romjulsdrøm" and "Æille har et syskjenbån på Gjøvik", and Skjæraasen's "Høstvise" and "Åtte øyne i hverandre". His cooperation with Thorbjørn Egner resulted in music to songs from '' Karius and Bactus'', ''Doktor Dyregod'' and ''Dyrene i Hakkebakkeskogen ''. Film music includes compositions for Finn Bø and Titus Vibe-Müller's 1946 film ''To liv'' and Per Høst Per Høst (5 December 1907 – 28 December 1971) was a Norwegian zoologist, film producer and non-fiction writer. Ulrike Jureit
Ulrike Jureit (born in 1964) is a German historian. Career Jureit studied history, theology and social pedagogy from 1983 until 1989 at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. From 1991 to 1995 she was a research assistant at the Neuengamme concentration camp. In 1998 she received her doctorate at the University of Hamburg. The topic of her work was ''Memory Patterns. On the Methodology of Life History Interviews with Survivors of the Concentration and Extermination Camps''. Jureit then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Bielefeld University and then supervised a research project within the framework of the University of Hamburg's special university program. The 1st century was the century spanning AD 1 ( I) through AD 100 ( C) according to the Julian calendar. Dieter Pohl (born 1964) is a German historian and author who specialises in the Eastern European history and the history of mass violence in the 20th century. Education and career Dieter Pohl studied history and political science at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich from 1984 to 1990, graduating with a Masters of Arts. Peter Lieb
Peter Lieb (born 1974) is a German military historian who specializes in the history of Nazi Germany and World War II. He held positions at Institute of Contemporary History, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and Center for Military History and Social Sciences of the Bundeswehr. Widely published in the field, Lieb specializes in the Western theatre of World War II. Johannes Hürter
Johannes Hürter (born 17 December 1963 in Hamburg) is a German historian. He is the director of the Munich research division of the Institute of Contemporary History. His research interests focus mainly on the history of Nazi Germany and on post-war anti-terrorism policy. Career Hürter studied history, German and musicology at the Heidelberg University and the University of Mainz. In 1992 he received his doctorate from the University of Mainz, his thesis was on Wilhelm Groener, the Reich Minister of Defence of the Weimar Republic. Prize for Military History (''Förderpreis für Militärgeschichte und Militärtechnikgeschichte'') is an award recognising achievements in the fields of military history and history of military technology. The prize is bestowed by the German Ministry of Defence every two years. History From 1992 to 2012, the prize was awarded under the name Werner Hahlweg Prize. Andreas Hillgruber
Andreas Fritz Hillgruber (18 January 1925 – 8 May 1989) was a conservative German historian who was influential as a military and diplomatic historian who played a leading role in the ''Historikerstreit'' of the 1980s. In his controversial book ''Zweierlei Untergang'', he wrote that historians should "identify" with the Wehrmacht fighting on the Eastern Front and asserted that there was no moral difference between Allied policies towards Germany in 1944 and 1945 and the genocide waged against the Jews.
