Baptise ran as a member of the Progressive Democratic Party of Guadeloupe, a left-wing party affiliated with the New Ecologic and Social People's Union (NUPES) coalition. Justine Benin, (born 12 March 1975) is a French employment counsellor and politician who briefly served as Secretary of State for the Sea in the government of Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne in 2022. She previously was a deputy in the 15th legislature of the French Fifth Republic for the 2nd constituency of Guadeloupe as part of the Miscellaneous left, affiliated with the Democratic Movement (MoDem).
