Christopher Scott Runion is an American politician. A Republican, he is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 25th district. Biography Runion grew up on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley. After graduating with an accounting degree from Virginia Tech, he married and moved to Bridgewater. Runion then earned a MBA from James Madison University. Runion has served on various councils around the region and has worked for several local Republican political campaigns. Steve Landes
Richard Steven Landes (born November 15, 1959) is an American politician. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1996 to 2020, representing the 25th district in the Blue Ridge Mountains, including parts of Albemarle, Augusta and Rockingham Counties. He currently serves as the elected Clerk of the Circuit Court for Augusta County. He is a member of the Republican Party. Landes served as chairman of the House Education Committee and is the first non-attorney to serve as chairman and member of the Virginia Code Commission. In 2019, he announced his retirement and intention to run for clerk of court for Augusta County. Rockingham County is a county located in the U.S. state of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 83,757. Its county seat is the independent city of Harrisonburg. The Virginia House of Delegates is one of the two parts of the Virginia General Assembly, the other being the Senate of Virginia. It has 100 members elected for terms of two years; unlike most states, these elections take place during odd-numbered years. Bridgewater, Virginia
Bridgewater is an incorporated town in Rockingham County, Virginia, United States. The population was 6,596 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Harrisonburg, Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area. History William Magill first settled along the North River in 1746, and the area became known as Magill's Ford. The first bridge across the North River was built in 1820, and for a time the young community was known as Bridgeport. The Town received its charter from the Virginia General Assembly on February 7, 1835, then incorporated as Bridgewater. The 2019 Virginia House of Delegates election was held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, concurrently with the elections for the Senate of Virginia, to elect members to the 161st Virginia General Assembly.
