Chris Massey
Christopher Todd Massey (born November 21, 1979) is a former American football long snapper. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at Marshall University. He has also played for the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears. College years Massey attended Marshall University and was a four-year starter at long snapper. He never missed a snap during his college career and added 12 tackles on coverage units, and 19 more as a senior linebacker. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2001 and completed a Master's in Sports Administration in 2009. Professional career St. Louis Rams Massey was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round (243rd overall) in the 2002 NFL Draft. Long Snapper
In American football, the long snapper (or deep snapper) is a center on special teams whose duty is to snap the football over a longer distance, typically around 15 yards during punts, and 7–8 yards during field goals and extra point attempts. Overview During field goal and point after touchdown attempts, the snap is received by the holder, typically 7–8 yards away. During punts, the snap is delivered to the punter from 13–15 yards away. Following a punt snap, the snapper often executes a blocking assignment and then must cover the kick by running downfield and attempting to stop the opposing team's punt returner from advancing the ball in the opposite direction. If the punt goes uncaught, it is the snapper's responsibility to make sure the ball does not enter the end zone or bounce backward resulting in loss of yards. Patrick Mannelly
Patrick Mannelly (born April 18, 1975) is an American former professional football player who was a long snapper for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Duke University and was selected by Chicago in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Mannelly played with the Bears for 16 years before retiring in 2014. He is considered one of the top long snappers in modern-day football, a title given to him by sports columnist Rick Gosselin and special teams NFL agent Kevin Gold. The Patrick Mannelly Award, which was named after him, is presented to the top NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision senior long snapper. San Diego Chargers
The San Diego Chargers were a professional American football team that played in San Diego from 1961 until the end of the 2016 season, before relocating to Los Angeles, where the franchise had played its inaugural 1960 season. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross.
