Chris Humphrey
Christopher Charles Humphrey (born 19 September 1987) is a Jamaican professional footballer and coach. He currently Manages Milnthorpe Corinthians FC in the West Lancashire Premier league.. Humphrey has played for several clubs in the United Kingdom, including English clubs Shrewsbury Town, Preston North End and Bury, and Scottish clubs Motherwell and Hibernian. He also played for the Jamaica national team in 12 matches, having made his full international debut in 2012. Humphrey announced his retirement from football in October 2018, due to ongoing injury problems before returning to the game with East Kilbride. The 2007 Football League Two play-off Final was an association football match which was on 26 May 2007 at Wembley Stadium, London, between Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town to determine the third and final team to gain promotion from Football League Two to Football League One. The top two teams of the 2006–07 Football League Two season gained automatic promotion to League One, while those placed from third to sixth in the table partook in play-off semi-finals; the winners of these semi-finals competed for the final place for the 2007–08 season in League One. Benjamin Alexander Herd (born 21 June 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is currently manager of Hertford Town. Starting his Football League career with Watford in 2003, he made his name at Shrewsbury Town between 2005 and 2009. In professional association football, a free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a professional association football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. The player can then go on to sign for any club offering a contract to them. How it works The club acquiring the player does not have to pay any compensation for their release due to having nothing left to pay on their contract, hence, the term free transfer. Gary David Peters (born 3 August 1954 in Carshalton, London) is an English former professional footballer and now manager. His last position was with Shrewsbury Town in from 2004 to 2008. Playing career Peters had a moderately successful playing career as a defender including spells at Aldershot (twice), Reading (twice), Fulham (twice) and Wimbledon. Originally rejected as a trainee at Aldershot, he began his career at Southern League Guildford City before moving on to Reading as a right-back in 1975, winning promotion to Division 3 in his first season. After failing to agree terms on a contract extension, Peters left the club in 1979, having made 156 appearances. Between March and August 1979, Gary was one of the Reading back five that kept a clean sheet for 1,103 minutes - a record that stood until broken by Manchester Utd. The Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL, commonly known as the Lowland League) is a senior football league based in central and southern Scotland.
