Chou Tien-chen
Chou Tien-chen (Chinese: 周天成; born 8 January 1990) is a Taiwanese badminton player. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. He won his first BWF Super Series title at the 2014 French Open, beating Wang Zhengming of China 10–21, 25–23, 21–19 in the finals. He is the record holder of three consecutive Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold titles from 2012 till 2014. Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium
is a sporting complex in Sendagaya, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Built in 1954 for the World Wrestling Championship, it was also used as the venue for gymnastics at the 1964 Summer Olympics, and hosted the table tennis competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics. BWF Super Series
The BWF Super Series was a series of Grade 2 badminton tournaments, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It was launched on December 14, 2006 and implemented in 2007. Since 2011, the Super Series includes two levels of tournament, Super Series Premier and Super Series. A season of Super Series featured twelve tournaments around the world, including five of them classified as Super Series Premier. Super Series Premier tournament offers higher ranking point and higher minimum total prize money. Top eight players/pairs in each discipline in Super Series standings are invited to the Super Series Finals held at the year end. Fung Permadi
Fung Permadi (; born 30 December 1967 in Purwokerto, Indonesia) is a former male Chinese Indonesian badminton player. He was a singles specialist who played first for Indonesia and later for Chinese Taipei. Career Though Permadi had demonstrated impressive ability by 1990, he was often passed over in selection for international play at a time when Indonesia had elite world class singles players such as Ardy Wiranata, Alan Budikusuma, Joko Suprianto, Hariyanto Arbi, and Hermawan Susanto. Moving to Taiwan in the middle of the decade, Permadi played perhaps his best badminton in the late 1990s, after his thirtieth birthday.
