"Chosen" is the debut single by Italian group Måneskin. It was released on 24 November 2017 by Sony Music and was included in their debut EP with the same name. The band originally performed an early version of ''Chosen'' during the auditions of the eleventh season of '' X Factor Italia''. The final song premiered on 23 November 2017 during the fifth episode of the live shows. The main riff for this song was written by bassist Victoria De Angelis, and the rest originated from that. Victoria De Angelis
Victoria De Angelis (; born 28 April 2000) is an Italian bassist. She founded the rock band Måneskin in 2015 alongside vocalist Damiano David, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and Ethan Torchio, with whom she won the Sanremo Music Festival 2021 and subsequently the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 for Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, Italy with the song "Zitti e buoni". Early life De Angelis was born in Rome to a Danish mother and Italian father. Her mother died from cancer when she was 15. She has a sister who is three years younger. ''Chosen'' is the debut extended play by Italian rock band Måneskin. It was released on 8 December 2017 and peaked at number 3 on the Italian Albums Chart. The EP includes the single with the same name and another original song ("Recovery"), both in English, and various cover songs performed during the eleventh season of '' X Factor Italia''. The EP was certified platinum and in addition its tracks collected two platinum and four gold certifications by FIMI.
