Chorale Roanne Basket
Chorale Roanne Basket is a professional basketball club that is based in Roanne, France. The club plays in the first division LNB Pro A. Their home arena is Halle André Vacheresse. The club was founded in 1937 and the team's colors are blue and white. History In Chorale's history, the team won two national titles; in 1959 and most recent in 2007. The teams honour list also includes a La Semaine des As Cup (in 2007) and multiple European campaigns. In the 2007–08 season, the club even played in the top level Euroleague. In the 2013–14 season, the club was relegated to the LNB Pro B. In the 2018–19 season, Roanne won the Pro B championship and promoted back to the Pro A after a five-year absence. LNB Pro A
The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams qualify for the playoffs. The two teams with the worst regular season records are relegated to the 2nd-tier Pro B. Through the 1985–86 season, the league championship was determined by a one-off final, or solely by league play. Marc Salyers
Marc Douglas Salyers (born February 28, 1979) is an American retired professional basketball player. He played at the small forward and power forward positions. College career Salyers played college basketball at Samford University with the Samford Bulldogs from 1997 to 2001. In his senior season, he averaged 17.2 points per game. Professional career Salyers played his first two professional years with Cimberlo Novara of the Italian Legadue. For the 2003–04 season, he moved to Turkey and signed with Oyak Renault. He was the top scorer of the 2003–04 TBL season, with average of 25.3 points per game. In April 2004, he moved for the remainder of the season to Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez, and helped them to win the 2003–04 LNB Pro A season. Dewarick Spencer
Dewarick Antwain Spencer (born May 4, 1982) is an American and Egyptian professional basketball player who plays for Zamalek of the Egyptian Basketball Super League. Nicknamed "Dee," he is tall and plays both point guard and shooting guard positions. From Mobile, Alabama, he played in college at Iowa Western CC from 2000–2001, Faulkner State CC from 2001–2002 and Arkansas State in the NCAA Division 1 from 2003–2005. The Ligue nationale de basket (LNB; English: National Basketball League) is the governing body of men's professional club basketball in France. The LNB organises the first-tier Pro A and the second-tier Pro B. Additionally, the federation annually organises the Leaders Cup, Match des Champions and LNB All-Star Game. EuroChallenge 2011–12
FIBA EuroChallenge (called the FIBA Europe League in 2003–05, and FIBA EuroCup in 2005–08) was the 3rd-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, from 2003 to 2015. It was organized and run by FIBA Europe. It is not to be confused with the FIBA EuroCup Challenge – the now defunct 4th-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, which was also organized and run by FIBA Europe, and played during the 2002–03 to 2006–07 seasons. 2010–11 Eurocup Basketball was the ninth edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one tier below the EuroLeague level. It began with qualifying round matches on September 29, 2010, and ended on April 16-17, 2011, with the 2010–11 Eurocup Finals, which was played at the Arena Palaverde, in Treviso.
