Chooks-to-Go 3x3 Pro Circuit Teams
Since the inception of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 league in 2019 which is backed by Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI), multiple 3x3 team under the sponsorship of BAVI has been sent to the FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit which usually consists of the core of the winning team in a conference or tournament. A total of three teams under the Chooks-to-Go name has participated in level 10 (Masters) competitions of the FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit namely; Pasig Chooks, Balanga Chooks, and Manila Chooks TM; all three has featured in a FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters tournament, although none has qualified in a World Tour Finals. History The Philippines prior participation in the FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit and had teams participate in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters. FIBA 3x3 World Tour
The FIBA 3x3 World Tour is an international tour of men's 3x3 basketball teams representing cities. The tournament is organized by FIBA. The FIBA 3x3 Pro Series and FIBA 3x3 Women Series were launched in 2019. Qualification The FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit refers to the system or network of FIBA-sanctioned men's 3x3 competitions for city-based professional teams. The pro circuit includes the FIBA 3x3 World Tour itself, as well as challenger and quest competitions which serves as World Tour qualifiers. Philippines At The FIBA 3x3 World Tour
The Philippines was represented at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Finals two times, debuting in 2014 FIBA 3x3 World Tour, 2014. So far the teams that represented the country are based in Metro Manila; Manila West and Manila North. Two Masters tournaments (in 2014 and 2015) were hosted in the Philippines, both of which were hosted within Metro Manila. The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines. History Manny Pacquiao launched the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League on August 29, 2017, starting off as a semi-professional league. According to Pacquiao, the league is not intended to be a competitor to the Philippine Basketball Association, the country's top professional basketball league. Aldin Ayo
Aldin Valladolid Ayo (born October 15, 1977) is a Filipino basketball coach and politician who currently serves as head coach for the Converge FiberXers of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He formerly played (in late 90s) and coached his alma mater Letran Knights. High school career Ayo, a native of Sorsogon City, graduated from Colegio De La Milagrosa in elementary and finished his high school education at the Our Lady of Peñafrancia Seminary in 1994. Collegiate career Ayo played collegiate basketball at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran from 1998 to 2001. He teamed up with Kerby Raymundo and Chris Calaguio to help the Letran Knights win back-to-back NCAA titles in 1998 and 1999. The Zamboanga Family's Atami Brand Sardines, formerly the Zamboanga-Family's Brand Sardines Valientes, are a professional basketball team in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. Its name is due to sponsorship with Universal Canning Inc. which owns the canned sardines brand, Family's Atami Brand Sardines. History MPBL The team first joined the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as the Zamboanga–Family's Brand Sardines Valientes in the 2018–19 season's. The team was reportedly "relaunched" as the Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines starting the 2019-20 season following undisclosed management issues. Basilan Steel
Basilan-BRT Peace Riders are a professional basketball team in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. History The Basilan Steel was the fifth expansion team of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League from Visayas and Mindanao. Then known as the Basilan Shooters Their application was accepted by the league in May 2018 who reasoned that they want to show the beauty of the team's home locality, Basilan, "thru basketball". They formally joined the MPBL on May 19, 2018, after the team entered into a contract with the league. They changed their name to the Basilan Steel by May 25, 2018. Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas
The Philippines men's national basketball team has competed in FIBA competitions for basketball clubs such as the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. In such cases the national team competed, they played under a club name, usually after a sponsor. At the FIBA Asia Champions Cup in particular, privately sponsored national teams has competed in the tournament. In other cases the Philippines competed in the tournament, the country was represented by teams from the now defunct Philippine Basketball League and Metropolitan Basketball Association. No Philippine Basketball Association team has competed in the tournament until the 2018 edition when Meralco Bolts entered the continental club tournament. Frederick "Eric" Altamirano (born August 8, 1966 in Davao City) is a former Filipino basketball player and he formerly the assistant coach of the Alaska Aces. In the present he is the commissioner of Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 He was part of the Philippine national team that played at the 1986 Asian Games.
