The Chilean Terrier is the first breed of dog from Chile. The breed dates back to the late 19th century, resulting from the crossing of the Smooth Fox Terrier with the Ratonero Bodeguero Andaluz. This dog is recognised by the Kennel Club of Chile (KCC), but is not recognized by the FCI. Since 2011, the breed is classified into Group 3 of Alianz Canine Worldwide (ACW). The Smooth Fox Terrier is a breed of dog, one of many terrier breeds. It was the first breed in the fox terrier family to be given official recognition by The Kennel Club (circa 1875; breed standard 1876). The Fédération cynologique internationale (FCI) (English: International Canine Federation) is the largest international federation of national kennel clubs. It is based in Thuin, Belgium. ''Condorito'' (''Little Condor'' in Spanish) is a Chilean comic book and comic strip that features an anthropomorphic condor living in a fictitious town named Pelotillehue—a typical small Chilean provincial town. He is meant to be a representation of the Chilean people. Condorito was created by the Chilean cartoonist René Ríos, known as '' Pepo''. Despite his Chilean origin, Condorito is very popular throughout Latin America, where the character is considered part of the general popular culture.
