Chester Boughton Hall Cricket Club
Chester Boughton Hall Cricket Club (often called Chester BH) is a cricket club that is based in Boughton, Chester, England. The club has four senior XIs playing Saturday sides that compete in the Cheshire County Cricket League of which the 1st XI is in the ECB Premier League. History The first game at Boughton Hall was played 20 May 1873. In the 1870s Boughton Hall was a large private house standing in spacious grounds. The owner of the time, Mr John Thompson, acquired a taste for cricket on his scholastic travels which took him to Rossall School and then Cambridge. Thompson, upon his return, converted part of the Hall's grounds into a cricket field to which he invited friends to play, under his captaincy, as Boughton Hall Cricket Club. Winston Keithroy Matthew Benjamin (born 31 December 1964) is a former Antiguan cricketer who played 21 Tests and 85 One Day Internationals for the West Indies. He is also the father of world champion athlete Rai Benjamin. Domestic career Benjamin originally burst on the scene in 1985 when he was given a Viv Richards scholarship to England in 1985. The ECB National Club Twenty20 is a knockout Twenty20 club cricket competition in England. Stephen Christopher Wundke (born 2 July 1961) is a former Australian cricketer. Wundke was a left-handed batsman who bowled both slow left-arm orthodox and left-arm fast-medium. He was born in Adelaide, South Australia. Early career Playing junior cricket for Glenelg Cricket Club, Wundke first attracted notice in the 1976–77 season when he starred in the Shell Shield District Schoolboys competition and was named in the South Australian Schoolboy Team of the Year.S.A.C.A. Jenson Eugene Simon Joseph (born 7 October 1966) is a former Antiguan cricketer who played for the Leeward Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He was a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Sefton Park Cricket Club in south Liverpool, England was formed as Sefton Cricket Club in 1860. As well as being used for Sefton's senior, women's and junior teams' home fixtures, the club hosts Lancashire age group and junior sides, Liverpool City junior representative games, University of Liverpool cricket and Last Man Stands. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps.
