The East Anglian Cup was a football competition that embraced East Anglian clubs in Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, but also included clubs from a much wider geographical area, from Boston and Louth in Lincolnshire down to Oxford City, Chelsea and Gillingham in the South, plus Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire teams as well. Amateur teams and the lower sides of professional clubs competed alongside each other in a long-running competition. It was originally started as the South East Anglian League in 1903 with three clubs from Colchester, (Town, Crown and Garrison), Ipswich Town and Harwich & Parkeston. Cheshunt ( ) is a town in Hertfordshire, England, north of London on the River Lea and Lee Navigation. It contains a section of the Lee Valley Park, including much of the River Lee Country Park. To the north lies Broxbourne and Wormley, Hertfordshire, Wormley, Waltham Abbey to the east, Waltham Cross and Enfield, London, Enfield to the south, and Cuffley to the west. Tilbury is a port town in the borough of Thurrock, Essex, England. The present town was established as separate settlement in the late 19th century, on land that was mainly part of Chadwell St Mary. London Charity Cup
The London Charity Cup was one of the London Football Association's cup competitions. History The London FA previously ran three senior cup competitions, the London Challenge Cup, the London Senior Cup (known also as the London Senior Amateur Cup) and the London Charity Cup. The only time a club reached the final of all three competitions in the same season was in 1959–60. Tooting & Mitcham won the London Senior Cup after defeating Bromley 5–0 in the final played at The Den (home of Millwall). Tooting & Mitcham were losing finalists in the other two competitions after being beaten 2–1 by Barnet in the final of the London Charity Cup and 2–1 by Chelsea in the final of the London Challenge Cup. Terry Medwin
Terence Cameron Medwin (born 25 September 1932 in Swansea, Glamorgan) is a Welsh former international footballer who played as a winger. Club career Medwin made his debut for his 'home town' team Swansea Town in 1951–52 and went on to make 148 Football League appearances for the Swans. Medwin moved to Tottenham Hotspur for £25,000 in May 1956. He scored twice on his debut in a 4–1 victory over Preston North End at Deepdale in August 1956. And Medwin played for Spurs until 1963 when a broken leg forced his early retirement. During this period he scored 72 goals in 215 matches in all competitions and helped the club win the Double in 1960–61, and he also appeared for them in the victorious 1962 FA Cup Final.
