''Cherished'' is the 14th studio album by American singer-actress Cher released in September 1977 as Cher's final studio album released by Warner Bros. Records. This album, like several other predecessors, was a commercial failure and failed to chart. The album was promoted by the release of the lead single, Pirate, and a second single, ''War Paint and Soft Feathers'' both of which also failed to chart. Album information Released in 1977, ''Cherished'' was the last Cher album produced by Snuff Garrett. Although ''The Cher Show'' was a top 10 ratings hit, the 1975-77 period was unsuccessful for her, and ''Cherished'' did no better than its predecessors, ''Stars'' and ''I'd Rather Believe in You''. The album sold very little, failed in the charts and was ignored by critics and fans. ''I'd Rather Believe in You'' is the 13th studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released in October 1976 by Warner Bros. Records. This album was a commercial failure and failed to chart. Album information Because ''Stars'' was such an abysmal financial failure, Cher was put back with narrative pop songs on her next album. The album garnered no attention, and as such did not chart. Producer Michael Omartian attributed this to "a lack of promotion." Cher recorded this album while she was pregnant with Elijah Blue Allman, her second child. She wrote a dedication to him on the back-sleeve of the album: ''And a special thanks to Elijah for waiting until the day after I finished my album. Cher''. ''Two the Hard Way'' is a studio album by American singer-actress Cher and the third studio album by American rock singer Gregg Allman released in November 1977 by Warner Bros. Records. The album, billed to "Allman and Woman", was a critical and commercial failure. History The product of the two musicians' unlikely and turbulent relationship and marriage, it attempted an even more unlikely musical melding of Allman's Southern rock with Cher's idiosyncratic, personality-driven pop. The uncharacteristically airbrushed cover notwithstanding, Allman's musical ideas and singing generally took the lead. In conjunction with the release of the album Cher and Allman did a 21-show tour called the "Two the Hard Way Tour", consisting of seven shows in Japan and 14 in Europe. The tour ended abruptly when Cher parted ways with Allman and returned to the United States. ''Half-Breed'' is the tenth studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released in September, 1973 by MCA. For the production of the album Cher returned with Snuff Garrett and Al Capps. ''Half-Breed'' was her second record for MCA and was promoted on her successful ''The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour'' television show. After its release, the album faced mixed reviews from critics, and the RIAA certified it gold on March 4, 1974. The album was her second solo album to receive a certification by RIAA.
