The Belye Medvedi (russian: Белые Медведи, lit=Polar Bears) are a Russian ice hockey team in the Junior Hockey League (MHL). They play in Chelyabinsk, Russia at the Traktor Ice Arena. The team was founded in 2009 and is a junior affiliate of the Kontinental Hockey League's Traktor Chelyabinsk and Chelmet Chelyabinsk of the Supreme Hockey League (VHL). Chelyabinsk ( rus, Челя́бинск, p=tɕɪˈlʲæbʲɪnsk, a=Ru-Chelyabinsk.ogg; ba, Силәбе, ''Siläbe'') is the administrative center and largest city of Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. Yevgeny Yevgenyevich Kuznetsov (russian: Евгений Евгеньевич Кузнецов; born 19 May 1992) is a Russian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). Yakov Vyacheslavovich Trenin (born 13 January 1997) is a Russian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL).
