Cheltenham (), also known as Cheltenham Spa, is a spa town and borough on the edge of the Cotswolds in the county of Gloucestershire, England. Cheltenham became known as a health and holiday spa town resort, following the discovery of mineral springs in 1716, and claims to be the most complete Regency era, Regency town in United Kingdom, Britain. A steeplechase is a distance horse race in which competitors are required to jump diverse fence and ditch obstacles. Steeplechasing is primarily conducted in Ireland (where it originated), the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, Australia, and France. The name is derived from early races in which orientation of the course was by reference to a church steeple, jumping fences and ditches and generally traversing the many intervening obstacles in the countryside. Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival
The Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival was founded in 2008 as an out-door festival held in Montpellier Gardens, Cheltenham to promote awareness of food, drinks, chefs, and restaurants. The focus is on Cheltenham and the county of Gloucestershire but has national exhibitors as well as local exhibitors. Cheltenham Cricket Festival
Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Gloucestershire. Founded in 1870, Gloucestershire have always been first-class and have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. The club played its first senior match in 1870 and W. G.
